I was connecting through DFW and booked this hotel because it was cheap and had a free shuttle. When I arrived at the airport I called the hotel to get the shuttle. The phone would ring twice and then go to a busy signal. I kept trying for about an hour (part of it was waiting for my bags anyway). Finally I took a taxi to the hotel. Once there I couldn't even get into the lobby. They had a small room that you would normally go through to get to the lobby that was open. It had an after hours check-in system where I was supposed to look for my first name and then type in the first four letters of my last name and this box would open and give me my key. There were six of these boxes. Two of them said "closed" and the other four said nothing. I tried typing my last name into all of them anyway. Nothing worked. There was also a phone next to the boxes, but it had the same busy signal that I got from the airport. I finally gave up and went across the street to the Motel 6 that actually had someone at the counter.
Once I got home I called Expedia and they refunded me the hotel price and also gave me a $25 coupon.
