“Budget friendly, good for overnight stays”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

We've stayed here twice for overnights in DFW en route to other destinations. It's a good budget-friendly option for an overnight stay: it's close to the airport, has a free airport shuttle, it's relatively quiet given its proximity to the highway, and a Denny's is close by. The rooms are clean, the furnishings are more modern than most at this price point and we saw no evidence of bed bugs (I always check :) They supply 2 bath towels, hand towels and washcloths, bar soap and shampoo. There is free coffee/tea in the lobby and they put out granola bars in the morning for those of us catching the early shuttle. The wifi is slow but better than nothing, especially for free.

The shuttle service was better than expected--we only waited about 20 minutes to be picked up at the airport and it was right on time the next morning to take us back. It is a multi-hotel service so make sure to call the hotel when you arrive so they can let the shuttle guy know and ask them where you need to wait to be picked up. Also, make sure to ask what the shuttle looks like--ours was a large white bus with "Hotel Shuttle" on the front and the various hotel stickers on the side.

The cons of this hotel are that Denny's is pretty much your only dining option if you don't have a car and the beds are hard as a rock. I would recommend bringing your own pillow as theirs are very lumpy, plus they use the polyester sheets which are great for housekeeping but not good for people who sweat when they sleep. There is a gas station past the Denny's, which is convenient for snacks and drinks. While the surrounding area is not scenic, we were able to walk around and stretch our legs, and there were many other people doing the same, so we felt safe.

All in all, this is a good value for the money, I'd recommend this hotel for people passing through DFW.

“Very surprised!”

I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and modern rooms that this hotel has to offer. I chose the park n' fly package and left my vehicle there for over a week with no problems at all. Hotel shuttle picked up on time in the morning. It was a little late picking up on the trip back, but not too bad. When you factor in the price, clean rooms, parking packages, and free shuttle, this is a great deal. I would definately stay there again.

“Great Customer Service!”

I stayed here for my first time yesterday since I lost my flight fron DFW airport. I have to sqay it was much better than I expected to be. The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable, but what really impressed me was the wonderful customer service fromj "Michele" de young girl at the front desk. Since the moment I called she was very sweet and helpful, I had to call her back a couple of times for the shuttle, and she was always prompt and friendly! When I got to the inn the looby was full, she was extremely multitasking beetween the phone and the desk, but she keept smiling to every single customer. I'm very satisfied with my stay,I'll be back if I'm in the area.

“Great value but there is a catch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

We were forced to spend a night near DFW as we missed our connection so we needed a room. The Red Roof Inn DFW is a great value for $50. The room was large, very clean, and the bathroom was adequate. As we had to catch an early flight the next day we did not have a chance to eat breakfast there, but the dining area is small. Similar to other reviewers I would like to stress that the wait for the shuttle bus is very long as it services many other hotels along the way. If this is a problem I would definitely spring for a taxi. We witnessed several other hotels send their shuttles twice before ours arrived. Moreover, our return shuttle was packed at 6:15am so make sure to reserve your spot upon checking in. Again, its a great value, but your patience will be tested.

Room Tip: Higher floor had less street noise.

“Overall, great value for money - transportation from DFW difficult”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

For the $53 (including taxes) I paid for one night at this property, I thought this this was a terrific value for the rate. The hotel is in great physical shape, there is a Denney's Restaurant just a few feet away that serves an excellent breakfast, and the hotel staff could not be nicer. My only concern is the long wait for the airport bus which makes an airport stop once every 30-45 minutes and is usually stuffed with passengers. The bus is operated by a consortium of five or six hotels in the airport area. I had to wait 30-45 minutes outside in an unmarked area in 95 degree heat for the hotel bus to make its lonely appearance. This is a great property to stay if one has an overnight stay due to flight connections. This was my second stay; I may consider springing for a taxi next time.

Room Tip: Before collecting your bags, find the hotel courtesy phone to arrange transportation.
