“Great hotel with a lot to offer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

I was here on business and this is the hotel that my customer set me up in. They said it was the nicest hotel in the area and I believe they're correct. The main lobby is set up to help you with anything that you need... soda, snacks, beer, coffee, etc. The breakfast buffet is okay (fruit, biscuits & gravy, bagels, cereal, yogurt, etc.) and you can order something off of a touch screen for a few dollars. The staff is very friendly and everything runs very efficiently here. The rooms are very nice and are laid out in a way I hadn't seen before. There is a sectional sofa, a small "kitchen" area that consists of a table/desk, a counter with a sink, a small fridge, coffee maker, etc. There was a 42" plasma screen in my room which can be turned toward the sectional sofa or in the other direction towards the bed. There is a small divider type of thing that divides the room and there was a king-sized bed that was very comfortable. There was also a bathroom area that consisted of a small dresser, sink & counter area with hair dryer and then the bathroom with shower. Everything was very clean and again, the staff was great. I wanted to get ice one night so I grabbed my ice bucket and went out into the hall... no ice machine. So I went downstairs into the lobby and asked about it and they said that ice machines were on the 3rd and 5th floors but then he said, "Here, I'll just go get you some from the kitchen... be right back". Very attentive staff. If you have a reason to be in this area, this is a great hotel.

“Great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I was in Hurst for a 3 day meeting and stayed at the Hyatt Place - hotel seemed busy but the staff was very friendly, took time with each guest and was super helpful, bar was busy each day in the late afternoon busy not crowded - I ordered breakfast one day and dinner another day, typical Hyatt Place food which is quick and good but the staff just makes it seem much better - I can't say enough about this hotel, top quality operation

“Clean rooms, attentive staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I stay here quite often, so much so the staff knows me by name. They have a decent complimentary breakfast, but you can order a hot breakfast if you want. The rooms are quite large considering the cost. Rooms and rest of hotel are always clean. The wifi is a little weak in spots, I would stay off the top floor if you need to use it a lot. HD tvs in all the rooms, though occasionally will be missing a channel due to signal. Its right off 121 so easy access to the airport, Ft Worth or Dallas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator for a quiter night.

“Great place, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

I've stayed here many times in the past and will stay here many times in the future. The hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are large and always very clear. WiFi is quick and available all over, including at the outside pool. There's a small fitness room with 4 modern machines (what more do you need when away on business) and a bar serving drinks and snacks.
I've never eaten here just because the restaurants nearby are great. In walking distance (even for Americans) is a Mexican and Italian. Both high quality. Also both places are good just to chill with a drink. Also the shuttle bus is available to take you to other nearby places nearer the Mall, such as BJ's, Logans and Genghis Grill (one of my favorite places and so cheap)
Anyway, back to hotel....
The big selling point of this hotel is the staff. Such a friendly bunch and so personal. Makes even the most boring business trip an enjoyable experience.

“Our "go to" hotel in the DFW area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2011

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years. We regularly visit my family in the DFW area and the kids stay with my parents and and we stay at the Hyatt Place (hey, we wouldn't want to inconvenience my parents too much).

The hotel is very consistent in terms of quality - never had a bad experience. Rooms are large, spacious and clean. Mini-Frig, coffee maker and large desk area in the "living area". All rooms have a pull-out bed in the large couch/seating area. Large-screen TV in the middle of the room swivels to be viewed in the living area or bedroom area. Internet is free - yeah.

Beds are comfortable - this coming from two picky people when it comes to bed softness. Sink/Bath area is standard - my only complaint being the sink is not enclosed and out in the open rather than in the bathroom proper, so if one person is up during the night and uses the sink it can disturb the other(s)

Continental breakfast is free and should cover most tastes. The grapefruit is the best I've ever had. You can order hot breakfast for a charge - good not great but portion sizes are large so you can split one item and still have plenty of food, especially when you add in the continental free stuff. Dinner items are good for a quick snack or late meal and are intended to be functional - again large portions.

There is essentially a full-service bar with a perfectly adequate selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Great place to relax in the evenings. The pool and exercise areas are serviceable and functional.

One of the best assets is the the staff. Almost without exception they are friendly, pleasant and helpful. There are a lot of nicer hotels I won't visit again due to the attitude of the staff.

In summary, a real hidden gem in the middle of the DFW Metroplex.
