Too many $$ for too little. My "suite" was dismal with very little light in the room. No sink in the "kitchen". Continental breakfast cheap cheap cheap.
Best part was how close it was to downtown Houston and the professionalism of the manager.
I would not recommend it.

When we first drove in the place looked a bit old and run down. Service at reception was OK but not stellar. The lady was on a call with another on hold so I'll reserve judgement a bit on that. We had a second floor room which was only accessible by stair. When we walked in, the room was a decent size with a kitchenette and large bathroom.

Pros:

* Large room
* Kitchenette
* Good wi-fi

Cons:
* Shower curtain was mouldy
* Kitchenette had very limited cutlery & crockery and there was no toaster
* Limited parking

I was here for one night while visiting the medical center. The med center has a few hotels on site but this hotel is about 5 minutes away and is far cheaper (and has a free shuttle service to the med center). When I first arrived in the room I was surprised at how big the room was. Maybe it's a Texas thing, but this room was way bigger than I imagined it'd be. There was a seperate kitchenette, a "living room" area of sorts with a couch, and a bedroom with a TV and a ...more [+]full bathroom. Everything was clean and fully stocked. They have open access wifi that is actually pretty fast. It's located in a pretty nice neighborhood and I had no problems getting sleep that night. The shuttle service is convenient and runs on the hour. They provide a typical continental breakfast in the morning. I travel quite a bit and was very happy with my experience here. I recommended it to the program I was visiting at the medical center so that they could email future visitors about staying here and saving some money.

Bus stop next to the hotel, you can walk to the hospital!

It's always a crap-shoot when you book an unknown hotel for someone else. We of course always try to get the best deal since we are a business. I booked this place thankfully for only 2 nights for our installer. One night was free because we had accumulated enough points through the program "Choice Privileges." This was far from a privilege. My installer got a spider bite on his ear & it swelled up. He also did his own plumbing in the bathroom because apparently the front desk or anyone else there did not know what a plunger looks like. So he had to go through their maintenance closet & find it himself. STAY AWAY.
