This hotel is located close to the Reliant Center/Astodome complex in southwest Houston adjacent to the I-610 Loop. While this is not the best part of Houston, if you need to stay in this area, the hotel offers basic accomodations at an affordable price. The property was renovated in 2009 and is beginning to show its age. My room was clean and of reasonable size. The staff is friendly and accomodating. There are several restuarants in close driving distance. The complimentary breakfast is, like the hotel, basic but sufficient with hot waffles and fresh fruit. Due to its location adjacent to the Freeway, the rooms can be somewhat noisy.

We stayed there last Saturday night before the Texans/Raiders football game. This is an older hotel but it is still in good shape. All of the rooms have brand new HD TV's, and the beds are comfortable enough and out room was very clean and quiet. We had a minifridge and a microwave. The hotel is about a 1 mile walk from the Reliant Stadium, and it really saves money to not have to pay for parking at the stadium(about $30 to park at the stadium.) After the game it was POURING rain so we grabbed a cab and the ride back was about $6... The breakfast was the same as other La Quintas, and the staff at the hotel were very helpful and answered all questions. This was the second time we stayed there, and we will be back. Remember, for a hotel that only cost $55 on a Saturday night before a Texans game, and a free breakfast, you really can't beat the price. (It helps to book early)

First and foremost, Vanessa and Delisa are incredible people.

We arrived, after driving all night, to this hotel about 5:30 in the morning.

My brother in law is a patient at MD Anderson and needed to be there for 10:00 that morning.

Vanessa checked us in and didn't charge us any additional price and let me tell you, this goes a long way.

DeLisa was also very helpful and friendly.

Okay, so the hotel itself is old and in need of some tender love and care.

On the positive, the room was clean, the AC cold and the beds great.

On the negative, it is dirty in the halls and in the elevator, the tubs need to be totally refitted.

The TV was of the old style and you didn't receive many channells.

Would I stay there again? Absolutely. Could it be nicer? Absolutely.

Vanessa and DeLisa are part of the reason we would go back.

We just returned from Houston after staying at the disgusting La Quinta! I would not recommend this place to anyone. We had multiple rooms due to the college club volleyball tournament that was taking place at the Reliant Center.

3 of the rooms had overwhelming smells of mildew. I complained about our room in particular and the said "sorry there are no other rooms available". After we had gone out for breakfast and returned to the room, there was an overwhelming smell of bleach.

So what they did was clean the mold off of the shower walls and must have cleaned the toliet and left the bleach in the toilet to mask the mildew that was in the carpet.

We figured out since all the carpets were wet in the 3 rooms under the air conditioners and up to the doors, is that is where the mildew smell is coming from. I bought Lysol and Febreze to get the smell out but all it did was make it tolerable.

The tournament was huge and no available rooms anywhere near the Reliant Center otherwise we would have left.
The pool was green and disgusting. There actually were some stupid people diving in. The walls of the pool and the steps going into the pool had slime on them. GROSS!
