It is and older building that has been updated, but nice, quiet and clean. We never heard another person in the hallway or upstairs over the 3 day stay.The room had hot water immediately and the shower had very good water pressure. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. It was more space than we expected. There was a "living room" area with couch, chair, desk w/desk chair and one flatscreen TV. It had a wet bar with microwave and mini fridge and then a bedroom with dresser, another flat screen TV, king size bed and two night stands. Had an ihome clock radio so we could charge our iphone. The breakfast was good. They offered hot scambled eggs and sausage patties or cooked oatmeal. They had the usual breads, cereals, coffee fruit and juices. And, make your own hot waffles. Only negative thing was the old, rough towels. I'll ask for new ones the next time I stay here. It is close to Rice Village with shopping and restaurants, MD Anderson Medical Center, and Reliant stadium. They offer a shuttle to and from the Med Center, although we had our own car so we didn't use the service. The staff was very nice and always ready to help!

This hotel is convenient & nearest Rice University campus, Reliant Stadium & the medical centers. Quiet street at night. There is a Kroger's grocery, Kolache, hamburger joint, next traffic light on Main Street. The hotel itself is not bad at all... you can say its a bit dated (the colors give it away) but well-maintained and clean, not run-down (example, it definitely could use new curtains & some modernizing). Sheets & linens are crisp & clean. Sofa and small microwave & fridge in your room. Because it was built few decades ago, its structure is spacious sizewise compared to the cramp newer ones built nowadays. That goes with the well-lit parking space as well. Staff is nice & accommodating. Breakfast is sufficient, good variety carbs, could use some fruit cups/fruit cocktail; not crowded. Not the kind of place to luxuriate/vacation. Its a place to do your business, sleep, then go.

The hotel location isn't bad but the rooms need some TLC. The toilet ran for at least 1 hour after use in our room as well as our neighbors room. The doors were damaged as well as the tiles in the bathroom. The rooms are a bit larger than most Springhill Suites. There were 2 Televisions in the room and the bathroom seperated the bedroom from the living area. The listed hotel rate was $109 which was a bit much for the condition of the room. I used points for my stay and would have been even more dissappointed had I paid for the room.

Great location. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Will stay again!
