I stayed in the hotel for a business conference. Rooms were spacious, clean modern. Maybe just one step below a truly deluxe hotel, but very good value for the price.
Another plus is the location. it is a very nice area, near a beautiful park and the galleria.

We stayed at the Omni Houston for a cousin's bat mitzvah. I've never stayed at an Omni before, but the accomodations were quite nice. Clean, comfortable bedroom, convenient to the freeway, free parking down the street, free wireless in the lobby, and free wireless in the rooms if you join their (free) loyalty program. (If you don't, wireless in the rooms is a whopping $9.95/24 hours, which is plenty of impetus to join their program all on its own.) The staff was friendly and helpful.

One small suggestion that I would have for improvement would save the hotel money as well: Every time we left the room, we made sure to turn the lights in the room off. When we returned on at least one occasion, a light in the room was back on. While it's entirely reasonable for the staff to turn on the lights to perform room cleaning chores, it's a needless waste of electricity to have a lamp on for some unknown number of hours between when they do their work and when we return.

On a separate note, I can't exactly blame the hotel for having drunk wedding guests returning to their rooms on our hall at 3:30 AM and talking loudly outside our door for several minutes, but it would be nice for the rooms to be a bit more soundproofed from the hall.

The Omni was the perfect home for our stay in Houston. The rooms were attractive and the pool area quite appealing. You can park for free in the garage down the street from the hotel. There is a fun club where we went dancing on Saturday night.

the rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable! the only issue we had was with valet parking. We were there on a night that they had a huge event. It took 20 minutes to get our car.
