Stayed on the 21st floor for two nights the last of January. It was completely quiet and comfortable. The location was convenient to the Medical Center and to Rice University. Self-parking was reasonable and convenient. Will definitely stay on the next trip to Houston. The only disappointment was the hot tub which wasn't hot on the first night. It was working on the second night though.

Stayed in the "Concierge Level" (floors 25 & 26) just before Christmas of 2011. The rooms were clean and well appointed, but what makes the difference here is the outstanding service provided by all Marriott staff. The staff in the Paladora Lounge on floor 2 and the Concierge bar on floor 25 are absolutely excellent.The Paladora serves an incredible breakfast.

Houston Marriott is the best place to stay in the Medical Center area!

Stayed here just this past November. I was here on business and it was conveniently located near the Methodist Hospital. Loved the Starbucks in the lobby. Free shuttle to Rice Village where there are a lot of great restaurants to eat at. Disappointed the hotel charges to access the wifi. Yeah, I know it is complimentary in the lobby and the 2nd floor. However, for someone from out of town who uses the net for info on restaurants, shopping, transit,maps,etc, it would be so much more convenient to have complimentary access in my room like most other hotels I have stayed at offer. Gym was decent. I found the food to be quite pricey. Room was very nice and the beds are very comfortable. I would rate this place a 3.5 overall.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Marriott Medical Center for business related travel. We were very impressed with our overall stay. Here are the highlights:
* Check-in was easy. The gentleman that checked us in was personable, helpful and quick
* Their business center is among the nicest I've seen at a Marriott
* The rooms are very standard for a Marriott (although the views are not great)
* Close proximity to the hospital. If you are interviewing or visiting patients, this would be the place to stay
* Close proximity to a lot of cute shops and restaurants. Rice University square is about two miles from the hotel
* Lots of extras that make a difference to a traveler: fruit water and coffee in the afternoon, lemonade in the lobby at night, great pool and workout room

Overall, would we stay here again? Absolutely! Especially if we needed to be close to the hospitals
