“Unbeatable for travel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This Marriott property is right within the airport (IAH) and is connected via a people mover train to all of the terminals; could not be easier to get in and out.

The hotel is very nice, rooms have all of the amenities you'd expect.

Internet is available for a fee in room (wired and wireless). The restaurant/lounge on the top floor has revolving views.

Recommend.

“First Class Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

This is a wonderful hotel - beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is very professional and personable. If you need to stay near Bush Intercontinental Airport, there is no better place to stay. It is by far the nicest hotel of all the hotels at the airport. The others are all accessible by hotel shuttles. This one is connected to the airport. A short train ride stops at all three terminals. Surprisingly the hotel is very quiet considering it sits right beside the airport runways, with planes taking off and landing every few minutes. If you love to watch planes, be sure to ask for a room in the rotunda.

Allies American Grill, on the lower level, has a great breakfast buffet. The food is delicious - homemade granola, smoothies, fresh fruit, and loads of other goodies. I've never seen an omelet station like the one here. The chef had an incredible assortment of ingredients to make any kind of omelet.

The Flight Lounge on the top level is a pretty busy place. And don't miss CK's Revolving Restaurant on the roof of the Marriott. Great place for a romantic dinner, and a spectacular view of the airport and the city, especially at night.

Room Tip: If the weather in Houston is bad, and flights are delayed/cancelled, this hotel tends to fill up fas...

Hotel is very costly. Week nights $300 plus and they charge extra for internet. Tried card keys three times and still did not work for $300 I was put in the south tower which in a long walk from the front desk after three different card keys they change my room. We waited in the hall until they could get us a room they the card key would work. They did not offer anything for my trouble, didn't have any trouble add up the bill. I would say the cost far out weights the service.

Room Tip: Stay outside the airport if you can. If you have to stay at the Marriott in the airport ask for Nort...

“Accommodating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I arrived on a Wednesday night after a missed flight and had to overnight in Houston. I called all the hotels and absolutely no vacancies throughout the city. Since I was still in the airport, I decided to give the Marriott a try. Lucky for me, they had a room. My room was on the south end and it was accommodating. The price was a little on the expensive side but I did manage to get free internet and breakfast. Overall, my experience was very nice. The room was a little dated but very clean. The bed was too soft for me. I prefer a firm bed but for one night it was ok. I did order room service and the meal was good. The price was reasonable. I suppose the best thing about this hotel is the location to the airport. Since it's technically part of the airport, it was very relaxing to catch the tram at the lower level and get off at your entry gate.

Room Tip: Try to reserve on-line if possible. You get a better price. Room location if for a few nights are...
