This hotel is at the junction of 59 and 8 loop, so very easy for getting around the city. Although it faces the freeway, the room was surprisingly quiet. Thr room is good is size and has be unpated although the TV is still analog, there are good range of TV channels.
I booked my flights, car and this hotel through the Trip Adviser web site, and it becomes my standard of operations nowadays as I can review the hotel comments, and check rate on many reservation web links at the same time, Trip Adviser web site has saved me a lot of time and money, thanks! However, this hotel somehow was not easily found on the web site, something the hotel management and this web site need to improve.
It seems the hotel is trying to improve, however, the service is quite inconsistant, that needs improvement. Some staff are very good while a few was simply not acceptable.
Cases in point:
(1) Two front desk staff simply cold and not know what they are doing, while others, seem outstanding. What takes?
(2) On my four day stay, they have to rekey my electronic room key three times. It is stressful coming back after a long day of work and not able to get into the room and have to trek back to front desk to rekey.
(3) One day, the cleaning staff remove all the towels in the bathroom and forgot to bring back fresh ones,
(4) INTERNET: Glad to have free internet, but the inroom hardwire connection does not work and the wifi is on the slower side.
Of course, there are two computer free to use in the business center, but they are occupied sometimes.
(5) MEAL: The breakfast waitresses worked very hard and nice. However, many Holiday Inns and competative hotel chains in the area provide free breakfast, This hotel does charge you about $10 for a buffet breakfast. There is NO restaurants or convenient shops in walking distance. There is a hotel restaurant that service ok dinner for a cost.
(6) Bed is very comfortable and room is good size, although the air conditioning tend to be on the loud side.
Overall, it is acceptable but service consistancy need to be improved.

My team and I at the Holiday Inn Southwest strives to exceed the expectations of our guest. If ever anyone is not 100% pleased when staying at our facility then I am personally available to take care of the situation. As the General Manager the bucks stop with me. If my team is not offering legendary service then please let me know before you leave the hotel.
We try extremely hard to please all of our valued guest so I really hope that when you are back in our wonderful city to please come back and visit us. I am sure you will have a fantastic stay.
