Sara's is a beautiful location in the midst of the Heights in Houston - the whole neighborhood is worth driving around in just because of the beautiful houses. It's right across the street from a great walking path, and only minutes from so much fun! Restaurants such as Lola's are even in walking distance though no food choice is far at all. Also, it is close to 19th street which has Antique shops and other Boutique stores that are fun to browse.

Your stay includes breakfast that is homemade on site and is really tasty. One of their staff (a lovely little old woman) stayed in the breakfast area the whole time to make sure everything you needed was available and tasty! Everything was comfortable and incredibly clean. There are even complimentary brownies available for that late night sweet tooth.

The only thing keeping this from 5 stars for me is that the room is a bit small (because this was a real house at one point), and the shower lacked water pressure (no tub in our room although there are tubs in other rooms). I think it was totally worth it though!

We stayed at Sara's with family during a wedding trip to Houston. The Inn is lovely and well-decorated and is in a quiet part of the city. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. The service was very friendly, and the phone was answered each time we called. Homemade treats were available in the afternoon, and breakfasts were very good.

Our only disappointments were that the front porch was commandeered by a group of smokers the entire time we were there, preventing us from enjoying the unusually pleasant Houston weather, and the rooms were a bit warm at night. There was nothing the management could do about the outside smokers, and a guest had apparently turned on the heat instead of AC.

Those are minor issues, and I think that Sara's offers a very good value and wonderful place to stay in Houston.

This huge, old, gorgeous Victorian house set in the fabulous Houston Heights area (just 4 miles from the downtown convention center) is the best bed and breakfast my husband and I have ever stayed in. It's always perfectly clean, wonderfully maintained and you couldn't find better owners who are so welcoming and helpful. The to-die-for breakfast room has so many delicious items, plus the breakfast is served by the most charming 80-year-old lady who is so sweet and actually enjoys getting up each morning (7 days a week) to go to her part-time job to help the owners out. She is a treat! We always look forward to going to Houston just to stay here. I would recommend this more than any other place we've ever stayed. We just love it so much!!!

My wife and I stayed for just one night last weekend. Our friends that were already staying at Sara's highly recommended it. We enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient to the center of Houston. We especially enjoyed having breakfast with all of our friends and feeling like we were in one of our homes.
