Definitely different from the hotels I have stayed at in a sense that it was not your typical hotel. It was very colorful and every room has a different theme. It is right next to the Galleria which was good for us.

As I travel frequently ... I must say that the Hotel Indigo in the Galleria has always been able to accommodate me even when they were full. My colleague called because he wasn't to make it to a program and that meant that I had to stay in Houston and I just picked up the phone & told them that I was a Platinum Priority Club Member they moved things around & got me great room & a great price.

Sure there are other hotels around the Galleria but not as professional and or accommodating as The Hotel Indigo believe me Ive tried. My friends and I have come to love The Hotel Indigo!

After reading the other reviews we were both excited about our stay. However once we checked into our room we both agreed that it was very small, especially with 2 queen beds.
While getting ready we noticed that water leaked out from under the sink whenever we showered. We called down to the front desk and they sent someone up to look at it, but we were in a time crunch and still had 2 people that needed to shower. We asked him if he could come back later (which he said he could) we then called the front desk and advised them of the situation and asked if there was any way we could switch rooms so we could get ready. They said that they would send someone up with keys shortly. After waiting about half an hour we decided to call down again to see what was keeping them it was then that we were advised there were no other rooms available and that we would have to just let them know when we left so the handyman could come back. We did as they asked, but the next morning we noticed the leak was STILL happening when we showered. We let them know as we were checking out. The front desk clerk even told us that he didn't think anyone had gone back to fix it while we were gone. He apologized to us for the inconvenience but for what we paid and what we were expecting it fell sorely short.
To sum it up we wouldn't stay here again.

We often go to Houston for the weekend and were looking for a trendy hotel close to the Galleria and some friends houses. This fit the bill perfectly. It is seriously less than a block away from Nordstrom in the Galleria!

We really enjoyed the spacious room and all the cute little touches. The knobs on all the cabinets are shaped like sea shells and the colors are really fun and bright. The floor in the cafe and lobby are also swirled colors of wood to make the shape of shells! Speaking of the cafe, the food was very good and they had many healthy options for meals anytime of day.

The cons of the stay were the air unit everyone else complains about. It was weird to use and a little loud. At one point I turned it off but it just kept going...Not sure. You can also hear whats going on in the hall from the room a little. It didn't bother me but I could see some people being sensitive to that.

I also want to tell everyone how comfy the beds were! We will def be going back, especially since they are part of the same rewards club Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and many other hotels are in. It's not often you can find such a trendy boutique hotel that you can also receive program points from too.
