Stayed here for one night, and found it to be a pretty good place. It is relatively new, and consequently was in pretty good condition. The lobby, room, and common areas were all clean. Everything was typical Hampton - although I guess the "pantry" with items for purchase is more for teh Hampton Inn and Suites. Normal selection of sundries, but expensive! An ice cream bar was $5. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - there always seemed to be someone walking around keeping things clean and in order, and the front desk staff were eager to help with whatever questions I had. The fitness "center" was the standard small room with cycle, elliptical, and running...but used it and it worked well for my needs. I got a mid-week rate of $98 - so not too bad. The breakfast area was well stocked, with the standard Hampton breakfast, but again the staff were asking if there was anything they could do to help or if I needed anything. Finally - the location is the location - in other words, if you are doing something on the far west side of town, then it's a good place to stay. It's right off the Beltway at the Bellaire exit, and if you have to get back to downtown, you can get right on the Westpark tollway and head east. There aren't any restaurants or shopping within walking distance, so be sure to have a car or ride.
