Nice modern hotel. Large rooms near shopping and groceries. Would be a great place for a family stay.

This Courtyard did a fine job. The toilet had one minor maintenance issue, which I could live with, and reported when I left. Other than that, everything worked properly. Wireless internet worked fine, and there was an ethernet cable in the room as well.

Check-in and check-out were handled in an efficient and friendly manner. We were offered our choice of a first floor or high floor room.

Breakfast at the buffet was just fine. There was an omelette station, but we opted for the scrambled eggs and they were hot, fresh and appealing. One half of the four-slice toaster was broken, so there might have been a line for toast if the place were busier.

There was coffee service set up in the lobby. Though the room's paperwork said that it was only available in the morning, I was able to get coffee in the evening as well.

The hotel must have been very lightly booked, since parking in front was always available.

We got a good negotiated rate through a local music venue.

Would stay here again.

This was my first stay at this Courtyard, and I found it to be much better than other Courtyards I've stayed at around the country. My room seemed brand new and was in perfect condition. The staff were as friendly and helpful as any I've ever encountered (in the restaurant and front desk areas, the staff went out of their way to help). My only complaints would be that the bed was way too soft, and the TV picture quality was not what I would expect for cable. The internet connection worked fine, although it wasn't wireless.

An extra bonus for me was the view of the tall buildings in Greenway Plaza. Since I love architecture, I spent a lot of time looking out the window.

Parking was very ample, and the neighborhood seemed safe, so I didn't worry about my car.

I picked the Courtyard - West University based on location, price and advertised free wi-fi internet. When I arrived at the hotel after 4pm, they did not have any rooms ready and I had to wait for them to clean a room before I could check in. I could understand if I was checking in early, but by that time of the day they shouldn't have a problem providing me with a room. I will say that the staff tried to be accomodating, but really all I wanted was to check-in to the room I had reserved.

The hotel website claims they have free wi-fi in the lobby and the rooms. I was located on the 3rd floor, and could never get any wi-fi signal for the Courtyard. I also tried sitting poolside (just outside the lobby) and still couldn't get a signal. If a hotel advertises a wi-fi internet, then they should make sure it is actually available.

The third strike against the Courtyard was the cleanliness of the bathroom. When I went to take a shower the next morning, I found the left over bar of soap from the last visitor (and no new soap) in the shower. I also found long hair strands on the bathroom floor. Perhaps in their effort to make a room available to me, they rushed the cleaning job, but still that is pretty disgusting.

The room itself was acceptable, there was adequate free parking and the staff I encountered were friendly, but they can't seem to deliver at a level I would expect from a quality hotel.

I would not stay at this hotel again.
