The hotel is downtown, very close to the ballpark (hence the name). It is very consistently themed with baseball pictures on teh wall, drawings, statuettes..... I'm not into baseball (not an American) but I can appreciate that this is a total effort at getting the decor right! Very clean and tidy; a it dark for my liking, as much due t the amount of dark wood panelling but it's a great look nonetheless.
My room was a King Suite; greeat size bed and very comfortable. Well appointed bathroom, TV, etc. My window looked out into the central atrium, which therefore doesn't give a whole lot of light but it's a great effect. The lobby, restaurant and bar are in the centre of the hotel with the rooms on the central side of the floors looking down to them. It's a really cool setup, very unique.
I have to say it was a bit noisy the first night as it was Superbowl, but it was good noisy, very good natured and was all over early enough to not be a problem. I doubt any hotel in USA was quiet that night!
Very friendly and efficient staff, bar and restaurant were great. Wifi was good throughout and a wired connection in the room as well. Just follow the directions when you hook up (ie. turn on your browser and accept - you're connected! And for free, the way it should be!)
Overall a really nice hotel worth staying at.
