I traveled to Houston, TX with a group of colleagues to attend a conference at the Houston Convention Center. We really enjoyed our stay at The Magnolia! Even though the conference center was about 1/2 mile from the hotel, the complimentary shuttle from the hotel was the best! The shuttle runs on a "first come, first serve" basis, but we hardly had to wait. Much to our surprise, the shuttle happened to be at the Convention Center for pickups at the end of the day.

Our hotel room was clean and updated, which we appreciated. On a couple of occasions, the housekeeper came while we were in the room...she did a very thorough job. We loved the breakfast each morning, which usually involved scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage in addition to the usual continental options. Happy Hour was a great touch after a long day after our meeting. We would definitely stay at The Magnolia again - great value and excellent accomidations!

A few reviewers have mentioned the wireless internet, which is notably a bit strange. I just used the free connection during my entire trip, which wasn't breaking any speed records, but adequately met my needs.
