This place is horrible, I came here with my family after a long drive from Kansas City, which consists of 6 people, and I along with my family expected a good night of sleep. The price of this hotel seemed like a great deal...WRONG! When I checked in there was a security guard, he was the hotel clerk. The "high" speed wi-fi gave me two bars on my phone and laptop and ranked only 2 MBS for download and .4 MBS upload. The "kitchen" was horribly place next to the bathroom, so you couldn't even stand there, and it was also unusable since the stove was broken, the fridge was hotter than outside, and the microwave was also broken. The beds, think about it this way I've camped in Kansas during rain and a visible tornado outside on the cold ground, I would rather camp again. Oh did I mention the "AC" had smoke coming out of it once we turned it on while we were sleeping. Did I mention about the front desk warning us there was a PEDOPHILE next door, and we would wake up to back pain occasionally with sounds of people talking. There wasn't even free breakfast which I look forward to every time I go to a hotel. There were stains all over the place and it smelled like weed.

I travel to the Houston area on business 4 to 5 times a year. My stays are from 2 to 6 weeks at a time. I have tried other hotels in the area but I now stay only at the Sun Suites. Elmer and his crew are always friendly and helpful in all situations. This place provides me a clean and quiet stay away from home. Of course by now they recognize me and bend over backwards to make my stay comfortable. I would recommend Sun Suites to friends and relatives. Thanks, Elmer and crew. Keep up the great work.

I am a true road warrior that has stayed at some of the best and worst hotels in the world. This is the first time in 15 years that I packed up my stuff in the middle of the night and left a hotel.

Let me start by saying that the walls are paper-thin so you can hear pretty much every word the person says in the next room. On the first night, from 11PM until 4AM there was a man and woman having a fight in the next room. I carry ear-plugs for just such an occasion but still had trouble getting any sleep at all. If you travel enough you will eventually encounter this so I just brushed it off as a bad night.

The next evening at 9PM I heard a lot of traffic in the next room but really tried to ignore it. Then I started hearing terms like "dime bags" and realized what was going on. I tried calling the front desk but no-one was there. I listened to drug deals go down until about midnight and then things got "interesting". At 3AM the drugged up girlfriend locked out the boyfriend/pimp as he went to get another "dime bag". The boy-friend then kicked in the door and started yelling at the girlfriend. A few minutes later the rent-a-cops showed up and started yelling profanity at the two. The boyfriend was taken to the car while the girlfriend was questioned. At this point I FINALLY thought I could get some sleep.

For what-ever reason, the boyfriend was let go and the rent-a-cops left. The boyfriend then came back and started yelling again. At this point I packed up my stuff and left having gotten zero sleep. I went to the front desk area to drop off my key and there was another guy there that was also leaving since the room next to him had blaring music all night. Just as with myself, there was no-one to contact from Sun Suites to assist in either situation.

To say that this hotel is bad is a true under-statement. Even if the above had not happened, this hotel would have received a poor rating. When I arrived, mot room had no towels. When I went to reception to tell her this her response was "sorry, I think we are out of towels but let me check." She then came back and said, "you are lucky, we just so happen to have two towels left!!". A hotel with-out towels?????

There was significant black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. If you are allergic to mold, this place would have been a nightmare.

Stay far, far away from this one.

After reading other reviews I went against my better judgement and booked a week stay at the Sun Suites of Westchase. Without exaggerating this is what happend:

At first I asked for a non-smoking room and after being assigned a room, it was obvious it was a smoking room because the smell of cigarrets nearly choked me to death upon entering the room. When I saw the room I nearly freaked out. It was soo creepy and dark. I rushed downstairs and requested a room changed. The staff was very understanding and were not rude at all and in deed changed my room.
The second room, was much better than the first one, but the rugs, oh my god, those rugs look like they havent been clean in years. Also the linens were stained, and they smelled. There were hairs on the bed and it looked as if someone had stayed there the night before. I slept with my clothes on and tried my best not to make any contact with the blankets. However the Bathroom was very clean. No moldew, clean towels, plenty of soap but no shampoo which is not bad at all.
The first night I stood I was so scared I couldnt sleep. There were shady people drinking and smoking, all around the area. Women looking like prostitutes, loud voices from the next door room, it truly was scary. Anyone can kick the door open and invade your room. There's no type of security. I feared that something would happend to my rental car and the anxiety kept me from getting a good nights rest. Days after that I tried to not attract attention to myself, and remained non existence. I am 23 years old and I never once went out to hang out at night because i feared coming in late and having the men around the property due something to me and know what room I was staying.
The second day, I took all the blankets, pillow cases and quilt and took them to a local laundrymat and washed it with my own soap and clorox. There is no room service, and you're responsible for cleaning after yourself. There wete filled Garbage cans upon coming up the stairs of the HOtel, and after three days it still hadnt been picked up.
The only good thing about my stay were the front desk people other than that, I cant recommend anything else. I dont want to sound rude or disrespectful but this hotel is a DUMP. Please if you can stay somewhere else please do so.
