O.K, here goes...After 17-odd hours of driving, we were forced to stop at this place out of sheer exhaustion--I wouldn't have stayed if I had a choice. To sum it up, This room was horrible. Where to start? First off, for a 'non-smoking' room, this place was SO full of cigarette residue that even the clothes deep in my duffel bag smelled strongly like smoke even a WEEK later. No, that is not an exaggeration. The toilet wouldn't flush--it was broken. There was an area of about a square foot above the shower where the drywall had completely fallen away, leaving the ugly (and disgusting) backing--which was summarily painted over in an attempt to make it look better. Every last piece of furniture in the room was either stained in some way or had cigarette burns, or both. The carpet was approximately the same--but I didn't notice any burns. Perhaps they were hidden underneath the several pieces of trash scattered about that the cleaning staff had missed. We tried to get another room, but the only other one was a single--and we needed a double. The hotel seemed to be in a not-so-upscale location, so there seemed to be an awful lot of comings-and goings by people who looked less than savory. It's located next to a Sonic, and also next to a La Quinta--Which was booked at the time.
No, I am NOT exaggerating anything in this review. I travel a lot--and it's truly that bad. Not only will I never stay NEAR there again, but I feel it's my duty to warn others of this one. Bad, Bad, Bad!!!
