I work for a company that sends me down to Houston about once every other week. Since it is business related, the Travel Department takes care of the room and tax of my choice (the price is very reasonable.)...there are some other hotels in the area that I have tried out before but ended up leaving in the middle of the night due to noise or bugs in the room...including the bed. The hotel staff is always very welcoming and as a veteran traveler, I appriciate a good nights rest; the rooms are very nice with new carpet and comforters that I wish I had back home in Jersey!! Usually after I get back to the hotel I will settle down and do some work on my labtop and then go out to one of the resturaunts (a couple exits down there is a string of them) to then burn some calories off in the fitness center and then call it a night. If any problems come about, let the front desk know and withen 15 mins it will be fixed.

We stayed overnight at this hotel, and I would not recommend it. I got very little sleep, being kept up by numerous bites from unkown vermin -- bedbugs, fleas?

Also, in the morning I noticed that someone's car was broken into overnight (window broken, police arrived later). They were parked in the front, and there was hired security when we arrived late in the evening, perhaps it's a regular problem.

I evacuated to this hotel during hurricane Katrina. The service was terrible and the management was involved in price gouging. Total cheats. NEVER stay there.

Although there were renovations going on I detected many problems,the rooms are new and nice.
Pro's - the front staff was nice and very helpful, lobby beautifully decorated, rooms were clean.
Con's - the elevator is in poor condition, 2nd and 3rd floors smelled something bad(1st floor where they were working was fine the a/c was in full blast, very comfortable) They stated that the beds were full but actually they were very small doubles.
The doors are not study and it was a crack so that you are able to see into the hallway-and if you can see you can hear believe me, I checked at least 11 doors.The pool was the worst!!!!! I looked and smell like sewage even if it did not you could not enjoy the lawn chairs everything was nasty.
I did look inside a king room and it also seem to be nice and clean with a ref. and microwave. I would not stay in this hotel again but will visit the chain again.
