This hotel is now a Travel Lodge.
However, since I had stayed at this property prior to the name change I felt that it was a good place to stay. The room was very hot when I first entered because the fan was on but not the air conditioner. I don't know if this was an accident or if the air is turned off in all empty rooms to conserve energy. Anyway, the air conditioner worked perfectly once it had been turned on. It took about 2 hours for the room to cool down to desired temp. The ceiling fan helped.
the room was clean, ie. carpet, floors, linen, towels counter tops and other hard surfaces.
It was well stocked with the item the hotel provides, coffee, tea, tolitery items, ironing board & iron.
The towels were new and plush, so new in fact that lent was clinging to me after drying off.
The ground outside was kept up very well with adequate lighting around the building.
The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was not much to brag about, just waffles bread, jelly, oj, milk and cereal.
There was a small frig., a microwave, coffee pot and hair drier in the room.
The bed was comfortable and allowed a good night's sleep.
The rates were reasonably priced.
There was a pool on property, but I did not use it.

Checked in on 02/20/10 left on 02/21/10. Crisetta the desk clerk was very very polite, helpful and attentive. The room was clean, beds slept great and breakfast was great for kids. owner/manager you have a quality employee(Crisetta I may have spelled her name wrong, she is a hispanic female(love her customer service). My sister left belongings in her room and called after returning to BMT. Texas, called and the merchandise was still there. WONDERFUL GROUP OF WORKERS..I would reccommend this HOTEL to ANYONE. I work for a company that sends me down to Houston about once every other week. Since it is business related, the Travel Department takes care of the room and tax of my choice (the price is very reasonable.)...there are some other hotels in the area that I have tried out before but ended up leaving in the middle of the night due to noise or bugs in the room...including the bed. The hotel staff is always very welcoming and as a veteran traveler, I appriciate a good nights rest; the rooms are very nice with new carpet and comforters that I wish I had back home in Jersey!! Usually after I get back to the hotel I will settle down and do some work on my labtop and then go out to one of the resturaunts (a couple exits down there is a string of them) to then burn some calories off in the fitness center and then call it a night. If any problems come about, let the front desk know and withen 15 mins it will be fixed.

We stayed overnight at this hotel, and I would not recommend it. I got very little sleep, being kept up by numerous bites from unkown vermin -- bedbugs, fleas?

Also, in the morning I noticed that someone's car was broken into overnight (window broken, police arrived later). They were parked in the front, and there was hired security when we arrived late in the evening, perhaps it's a regular problem.
