Stayed here in December when working in Houston. Hotel was quite hard to find as not well marked. Satnav sent me round the block a little as it is set back from the feeder road. Staff welcoming (especially valet parking guys who are great!). Room quiet, clean and comfortable. Reception staff very good. Bar staff average. The bar was always very busy with a good vibe to it but one evening I sat and waited for table service and actually got completely ignored so I left. Nearby restaurants are not too shabby so plenty of choice. A little bit of shopping close by too - boutique-type stores. I thought it was a little expensive but then it is Houston.

I stay at this hotel each week when I travel to Houston for work. The hotel is very clean and modern. This hotel also feels very safe in comparisons to others I have stayed at. The gym is small but has nice equipment and the machines typically only become full at around 6 am or 6 pm. The food menu is also very good! This Westin's executive club lounge offers a nice breakfast in the morning, and some yummy snacks and beer/wine in the afternoon. One of the really nice features of this hotel is the sky-walk that connects it to the Memorial City Mall. You can access the sky-walk from the 3rd floor of the hotel. This Westin has a great location too (right next to the highway).

I went to the westin hotel during the Houston salsa congress (jan 12-16th). The place was very clean the staff was really friendly, respectful, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently close to a shopping mall where they have plenty of things to do: movies, shopping, eating, iceskating, etc... The room was really clean, it had two full size beds, desk, flat screen tv (with movies for purchase), fridge, iron, safe, etc... i hope that the congress is held here next time, because thats where i want to stay. If you are traveling solo - use the super shuttle for 25 bucks, otherwise, a cab could cost you 50 bucks one way. The down town area is about 10-15 mins away by car, so a cab could cost around 20-25 dollars. The space center is about 45 mins away, so a rental might work best.
