Called ahead to check price of room when we got there it was more expensive. The room we booked said it has a pull out couch when we got to the room there were two worn club chairs. They argued with us about it and finally gave us two roll always and threatened. To charge us for them. Made them clean the pool since we hadn't seen them test it let alone clean it in the 5 days we were there prior. They repeatedly deactivated our door keys making us go get new ones. It looked like half the hotel didn't have furniture. There were old mattresses outside. Beds were comfy though.

“Convenient location - small, I mean "small", bathrooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

Stayed 3 days in July 2010 at this Motel.

ROOMS: We reserved 2 rooms since we were traveling with extended family (5 total). We had rooms next to each other but they were not connected rooms. There was a fridge in the room with the king size bed. Overall, the beds were comfortable and we felt it was relatively clean.

BATHROOMS: Well, I can honestly say I have never seen a bathroom so small. It was about the size of a powder room with a toilet on one side and what can be descibed as a half tub on the other (half the height/half the length). Some might describe it as a shower. It was difficult to get around in the bathroom due to the size and the door swinging inward towards the small room.

POOL: We all really enjoyed the pool. It was in decent shape albeit somewhat aged. It was clean but did not have an overwhelming smell of clorine like some hotel/motel pools. We spent hours each day enjoying the pool.

FOOD: The Days Inn breakfast was just cold breakfast. No waffles for the kids to make (which they enjoy making as much as eating). Bagles, toast, cereal, muffins as well as orange and apple juice. They had a small assortment of fruit each day as well.

SECURITY: This was the only real concern I had based on the area and the type of accomodations. The hotel was rather empty on our trip so we were able to park right up to the room (1st floor room). No problems though, quiet nights.

BONUS: I have to mention this. We left a t-shirt and my daughters "special pillow" she had since she was 3 or 4 (currently 9) in the room. After approximately 2 hours on the road heading north we realized it and called the hotel and had them check. They found the pillow and t-shirt and put it at the front desk for my brother (who lives close) to pick it up. Any complaints I might have (small bathroom) about the motel were changed by the kindness of the staff to help us when we needed it.

OVERALL: Good trip, decent motel. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, this works for convenience. The breakfast is ok, but simple. The staff was kind - not great, but kind.

“You'd have to be desperate”

We accidentally booked this Day Inn, thinking we were getting the one closer to the Galleria. The website we booked through was nonrefundable, so we figured we would check it out.
This hotel claims to be near the Galleria. We drove past the Galleria, then another 15 minutes without traffic to get to this Days Inn. Not really near the Galleria. The neighborhood around it was nice though.
The hotel looks rundown from the outside even. Finding our second floor room was a challenge, and not something I would enjoy late at night. We booked what was called a Queen room, but oddly enough came with a double bed. The room was tiny, and I don't need a lot of room. The bathroom had an odd half tub, and one couldn't close the door to the bathroom without squishing behind the toilet. The mattress looked like it was just as old as the exterior of the building. It was droopy and hard, and you could feel the springs every few inches.
On the plus side the room was clean. The sheets looked clean even. It's hard for old carpet to look clean, but it wasn't bad.
We decided to cut our loss (which wasn't much) and stay elsewhere. We never regretted it.

“I walked out! Cheapest place around and still not worth it!”

There is no, and never has been a, "restaurant in hotel." There used to be one next door, but it has been closed for a couple years. The pool has not been cleaned since before Jan. 25, 2010. That was the date of the newspaper on pool bottom - along with a lot of leaves and refuse. Broken windows were repaired with duct tape. No business center. The photos of lobby & breakfast room must be from another Days Inn. They put me in 3 different rooms before my computer could even 'see' a wi-fi signal - but never could connect. I turned in my key and left! Didn't stay long enough to find out what the strong disinfectant smell - everywhere - was masking. Cheapest place around and still not worth it!

“Good location and that's about the only good quality it has.”

This motel needs serious renovation. The room was run-down with mildewed conditions. This motel was far below normal Days Inn standards. I've stayed at Days Inns before and usually satisified with the price and quality, but not this one. If the room rate was only $25, then it might be worth it. If Days Inn cares about their brand, then they should pull this motel from their franchise. At least the A/C was working well.
