We arrived at the hotel after a 9.5 hour drive at 3 am. The front desk staff was rude when we checked in. We got to our room and went into te bathroom to notice roaches in the bathtub!!! We killed them and decided this would not ruin our tine here. We laid down to sleep having to be up in a few hours for an audition. We were on the end room on the lower level and we heard almost every car passing by and the tenants upstairs walking around like ogres. I was awaken a couple of times with what sounded like gun shots the first night. That morning we were up and ready to go at 6:00 am and headed to the reliant stadium center. Relatively easy access to the stadium and to the shops at the galleria section of Houston. We had the do not disturb sign up and then asked for some clean towels and was told to bring the dirty towels to the office for an exchange, first time I've ever had to do that in all of my hotel stays. Awoke on day 3 of our stay to 4 ROACHES in the bathtub!!! GROSS! We notified the hotel staff an they said they would take care of it when they did the house cleaning. They did and cleaned the room and didn't disturb our personal things other than setting the thermostat to 10* higher than we had it. Minor complaint there. It was quick and easy access to restaurants and shopping so that was a plus. The tv was extremely outdated and the layout of the room was odd. Had a fridge and microwave which would have been nice if we had eaten in the hotel more. all in all it was a let down after reading some of the reviews.

I went with my colleages to business in Houston. The front desk people were very freindly and very helpful. They were observant and gave us the room that was right in front of our van and extra towels. The room was clean and fresh and the price was the best price after shopping 3 diferent hotels. They wanted my business and made sure I was happy.

I was a little nervous after reading reviews that complained about the neighborhood, bugs, uncomfortable rooms and so on. I was pleasantly surprised to have a large, clean almost mini-suite (the bed area separated from the sitting area by a waist-high divider). Although the hotel was still sufferingsomewhat from the ravages of Hurricane Ike, the only sign in my room was that the shower insert had slightly separated from the wall. The neighborhood is not River Oaks but the motel is midway between the Southwest Freeway and Richmond Ave (2 blocks from each) and, as a largely commercial area, is somewhat deserted at night. As far as bugs go, this is Houston, it has the tropical climate that bugs adore, get over it (when I lived in Houston, it was impossible to get rid of the bugs and they were only kept within reasonable bounds by the large number of lizards in the area).

I've been staying at this hotel since 2005, one or two nights a week, and have "suffered" three owners.
I can't understand why the franchise owner would neglect this property like this.
From dirty sheets to fleas (yes, fleas sharing the room with me! in Houston's Galleria! not Tartagal, Argentina!) I've suffered several aggravations at the hotel. At least the staff used to be courteous and respectful, but last night they wouldn't even give me another room after telling them there were FLEAS IN THE ROOM WITH ME!
