very good value for money hotel was clean rooms where big staff was friendly makes you feel at home i would reccomand to visit this hotel for stay.

First let me tell you what i liked. Its clean, near the IAH and thats all. And they have a sticker in the front door saying TRIPADVISOR Recommended hotel.

the bad...for the price i had to pay the service was not good enough. Internet.., wireless as well as wired was not working when needed. we stayed for three days and each morning and evening (the only time we were @hotel) i had to complain about the internet. And the funny thing is the manager said ...Look the internet is working here @front desk so i dont see any issues... OKKKAYYYYYYY and ....i didnt asked whether its working @front desk...i am demanding a service which i am told to be available in my room. The breakfast is not that good. First two days they put towels and soap/shampoo and on the third day...no towels or soap. Had to call front desk for that.

I would have been happy if it was a one star hotel or motel....but this super 8 claims to be 2& half star hotel. But their service is not. I would have felt this much bad for wasting my money if i had not stayed in Baymont Inn Galveston. Because in the baymont inn hotel Galveston i paid less than half the amount what i paid for my room in Super 8 IAH. And service in baymont inn was "SUPERB"..........

But If you want to stay for one night and dont have to use internet and dont mind paying that much amount for no service, then Super 8 IAH west will be good for you.

Stayed in this hotel on business and despite several colleagues advising against staying at the Super 8 chain I booked as it had a great Tripadviser rating.............and deserevedly so !!.
The hotel is right on the main beltway around Houston and is only a 5 min drive from the Bush Airport. They offer a pick up service but I had a hire car so didn't use.
On arrival the Hotel is clean modern and spacious. I checked in and on getting to my room found that it was on the corner of the building closest to the Beltway - the windows are pretty poor for soundproofing and I asked to be mover which they they did straight away to a room furthest away from the Beltway - it made a difference but you could still hear the road.
The room is v large, comfortable with all that you need for a stop over on business or to the airport.
I packed the wrong adapter for charging the laptop and the lady on the reception desk was very helpful and managed to find one which I borrowed for my 3 night stay. In fact all of the staff are friendly and helpful - a real credit to the Super 8 chain
Breakfast was a little bit disappointing offering toast, cereals, waffles and muffins from a 'help yourself' stand but it did the job with no frills - maybe I was just expecting too much for the price !!
Overall - excellent hotel at a great price and very convenient for the airport - on the negative side the road noise is noticeable (but not on the 3rd niight as I got some ear plugs) - I can recommend this hotel
