I stayed here for a week, with my cat, while working in downtown Houston. It is a quick drive downtown and there is free parking at the hotel. However, it is also conventient to the metrorail system. And it is withing walking distance of Reliant Stadium (a good walk though) There is a strip mall across the street with a couple of restaurants and a grocery store, among other places. As for the hotel itself, I cannot complain about my room. It was clean and very large with a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, eating bar, etc.), large work area and living area. The kitchen and bath both had hardwood floors. Overall it was well appointed but you can see the age of the hotel in the room. My only complaint is that the tv channel listing is terrible. There are only a few options. Thankfully, there was a dvd player. Of course, the remote was missing the batteries. I was in a corner room so I didn't notice the noise, if any. I would probably stay here again.

We had to move rooms because of rampant black mold under the windows. The next room smelled like cigarettes. The bed was disgusting (blood on the comforter) and uncomfortable. Just after completing the survey from the hotel, I received a (perhaps overly-) polite note from the manager, apologizing for the problems, and my spam inbox simultaneously began receiving about 100 messages a day, whereas I previously received maybe 10/week. Coincidence?

First off, there was glass in the drive-way...and it was there for awhile. We had to tell the front desk that it needed to be cleaned up. However, it was taken care of..after an hour or so.

When we got to the window, there were two employees, one dressed professional and one dressed like she was going to the club. Neither one of them greeted us nor told us that "she would be with us in a minute." They proceeded to find our reservation after they finally asked me for my name...as soon as she found our paper, she kept talking (with paper in hand) about miscellaneous things and then started commenting on how other guests were complaining about different things and how she had to move them to 3 different rooms (right in front of us! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!). After about 20-30 minutes...she finally checked us in....it did NOT have to take that long and we were tired from a 7 hour drive.

As for the room, it looked cheap...not very "homely" (since it IS an extanded stay hotel.) The room smelled and the guests that had to be moved "3 times"...I actually talked to them and they said it was because their rooms smelled like seafood..well ours...it smelled like funky rose air freshener. We put up with it and decided not to complain and went to our car and got some spray and sprayed it in our room.

I noticed that there were safes that you can keep your valuables in..the ironic thing is that it is RIGHT by the entrance of the hotel (NOT in your room.) This is not very "safe"...

CONS: Professionalism of staff (appearance and customer service), appearance of rooms (not what you would expect from an extanded stay hotel)

PROS: Price (but sometimes iffy), 2 minutes from Six Flags, close to different fast-food restaurants, and television had lots of good channels..lol.

Basically, it was a good enough place to lay your head down at night for a couple of nights....if you don't care about the other things..

Nice rooms very poor management and NO noise control. When the front office closes at 11:00 pm the partying starts on weekends. If you miss housekeeping your on your own. Not the place to stay if you are sick and looking for a quiet place rest.
