The hotel lobby was very beautiful and our room at first glance was very nice. We stayed in the Tower and had two double beds with a view of Reliant Stadium from the 6th floor. The bathroom had in some of the corners what appeared to be a mild mold issue. The heater would not kick on and we didn't realize it until we had returned from dinner. The hotel engineer was gone for the day so we could switch rooms or wait until morning. Tired and already unpacked, we decided to snuggle up under the covers and wait until morning. Luckily, the bed was very comfortable and we didn't have an issue sleeping; however the pillow shams and throw blankets had stains. The heat issue was repaired the next morning and we didn't have an issue with the temperature of the room after that. We visited the bar and they kept it open an extra hour to accomodate our group, which I thought was good. We had a company party in the Rio Grande ballroom, which was nice, elegant, and clean. The only other minor issue we had was there was no refrigerator in the room so we had to throw out a few leftovers.

We checked in at the Crowne Plaza - Medical Center on a Friday night and were greeted by two persons at the front desk. They were very cordial and checked us in within minutes. We were given our room keys, card with passcode for free internet access along with another sealed envelope hand printed with our names which they said included a complimentary gift. Upon opening the envelope, it contained a card for complimentary beverages in the bar. It also contained a handwritten thank you note from one of the managers thanking us for choosing their location. By the way, the lobby was very grand and elegant looking.

Easy access to hotel right off of interstate 610, just across the street from Reliant Stadium. Short distance to many restaurants, and the Medical Center.
There is construction outside the front of the hotel, not sure what the remodel or addition is for.
We entered our room, it was in a "Parlor Suite" and I must say it was beautiful and clean. Very, very large room with a full living room set and sitting area, kitchenette, dressing area and a garden tub. The linen set up on our king bed was quite beautiful with decorator pillows and a special bag containing complimentary bed linen spray, sleeping mask and earplugs. At first I thought how nice, then I must say... I got nervous thinking we might need it. There was no more noise than everyday sounds and the room darkening curtains were great. The room had 2 large windows a very nice view. There was a large, flatscreen/plasma tv in the room on a swivel stand for easy viewing from the sitting area or bed.

We were very impressed with the room and pleased with the service we received.

Our booking included breakfast for 2 in the restaurant. The buffet was very appetizing and offered a large variety of food/beverages including a chef who prepared custom omelettes and belgian waffles. The wait staff was very attentive.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Crowne Plaza and will definitely go back. I do not have any idea what other rooms look like but the Parlor Suite was a welcomed treat for a special one night get-a-way stay.

Check out literally took less than 1 minute and they were so friendly.

I have been to this property several times before, and have always been satisfied.
The room was clean when we checked in, bedding was clean, TV was not a big screen, but had adequate channels and picture quality.

The complimentary in room WiFi internet was very fast, and supported 802.11n as well as a, b, and g speeds.

In the bathroom, we had adequate towels, and the shower head was excellent. Amenities were soap, shampoo, and conditioner, coffee pot, lighted makeup mirror, and hairdryer.

The housekeeping problem was that at least one coffee cup had not been well washed, and had traces of lipstick on it ( I washed it myself before use).

There was a double toilet paper roll under the sink; one roll was not replaced when finished, and we completed our stay with only one almost empty roll.

Check-in and check out were very fast and the staff was very courteous. I had reserved 2 rooms, and they gave us adjacent rooms at check-in.

Went there a week ago, had a great time. Shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles which a great help for those who are going to visit relatives at the medical center. The room was clean and the whole place was better than the crown plaza in downtown.

Real close to the reliant stadium for a visit to support your football team. Good restaurants around.

The sad note was that the last day while having breakfast, i saw a roach around the muffins and cakes at the buffet. I told the waiter but he kinda made himself deaf, so i had to kinda pull him closer to where the bug was and POINT at it...that's when he saw it too and removed just one of the plates...but im sure the others could have been affected by the bug roaming around.

Wifi wasnt working so good. Business center is good, comfortable.
