“You can never go wrong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

I visted Houston this past weekend and after SEVERAL days of searching, making reservations at other hotel, canceling reservations, still searching, booking, and canceling again, I ended up at Drury Inn. Overall I loved it. You can NEVER beat free food for breakfast (very good) and free snack/dinner (loved it even more because I did not have to go buy any food for that eveing). The kids tooks some hotdogs to their room and heated up later and actually ate it. Priceless. The staff was VERY friendly. The check in when we arrived at 1 am was very warm and I immediately felt welcomed. She was very friendly. The snack/bar/counter lady (Sunshine), was very friendly as well. And the check out lady which was Sunshine. The only thing I would recommend is try to get a room that does not have the pool view. That inside pool noise was over whelming but at the same time we didnt stay in the room alot. Minus the BRICK wall in the room that made it look real cheap and the pool noise, I will be back at Drury Inn.

Room Tip: Do not get a pool view unless you dont mind the noise and you will be watching the family from the w...

“We Loved It!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2011

This was our first stay at a Drury Inn and it did not disappoint. We spent five wonderful nights for our first trip to Houston. From the room to the breakfast to the evening reception to free soft drinks and popcorn to the pool our stay was very enjoyable. It was refreshing to have the front desk ask how your day was going or say goodbye to you on you way out. To put our stay in perspective, we changed our hotel reservations in San Antonio to a Drury Inn and stayed at this hotel one more night at the end of our trip. We will definitely look up Drury Inn's for future stays!

“First stay at Drury Inn--will seek them out again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2011

We were booked into the Drury Inn with a school group on a very busy weekend (Houston Rodeo and many other things going on) at a very good rate, so our expectations weren't very high. We were pleasantly surprised! Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, beds and showers were very good. The breakfast buffet was average, but plentiful, and just right for a group of teenagers. The cocktail hour was nice too and the staff was plesant. Only thing that was odd was the wallpaper peeling in the halls--massive plumbing problems? Roof leak? Looks tacky.

“Free Beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2011

Good by motel standards:
Clean
modern TV
conveniently located by highway
free wireless internet
office with working printer
hot breakfast
etc.

What set this place apart was the cocktail hour. At 5:30 they set out appetizers and beer, inclusive with room!

“We checked out early...enough said!”

We had the mid-point leg on our trip from New Orleans to Hill Country, Texas planned out perfectly. The reservation was in place at Drury - Houston West & after driving 360 miles, we were ready for a our hotel stay to commence. Unfortunately it lasted a whole 30 minutes. We received our 2-bedroom suite room and marched up to the 3rd floor to check it out.

Wow, we were disappointed. We have stayed at Drury Inn in MS & AL and these newer properties are simply amazingly comfortable & pet friendly. This property is very old and the rooms are very small & unrefined. The 2-bedroom suite was just a regular room crammed with mismatched beds & outdated TVs & decor. After allowing Drury Inn to call around to some other properties in Houston for us to transfer, we determined that all of their Houston facilities were equally disappointing.

We moved on to La Quinta Brookshire, Texas (just down I-10 W from Katy Mills) and enjoyed it tremendously!!! Plus, they welcomed out Border Collie with open arms!

Nothing against Drury. We will continue to patronize their properties, but just not their legacy locations such as this in Houston.
