The first room we were given was extremely dirty - cheese and other leftover food hardened on and around the microwave; dust and other dirt in the drawers and around the bed; hairs and more dirt in the bathroom. Part of the wall behind the microwave was missing and opened up to probably to the floors below. That was just the room. The doors and hallways are banged up; stains all over the floors; the smell of cigarettes and 'old' unidentifiable stenches were overwhelming. The clerk at the desk was extremely nice and understanding. He attempted to book us in another room, but he couldn't get the door to open. It was already 1 am by the time we got into the 3rd room which seemed cleaner on first inspection (later found a dark blob that looked like rabbit poop?), but the smell was so strong and distracting (wouldn't fade) we up and left taking our chances at finding another hotel at 1:30 in the morning. We were planning an 8-day stay and there was no way I was going to shell out $800 for an unacceptable stay. I had visions of roaches skittering across the floor and along the walls. I specifically chose this hotel because of the great reviews I saw on the travel sites and because it was affordable and convenient. Be warned, this is not the same La Quinta you see in the national advertisements. I knew it would be older, but as dirty as it is I am baffled by all the great reviews out there.

I stay here while attending events at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy. The hotel is pet friendly and the staff is great. I have always felt safe here, which is important when traveling alone. The breakfast selection is great. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

The hotel does seem to cater to large groups, such as sports teams, dog show participants, horse show participants. Even with such groups, noise has never been an issue.

I've stayed here several times when attending events at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center. The hotel seems to cater to large, organized groups such as horse shows, dog shows, golfers, team sports - which makes it feel very comfortable, especially for a solo traveler. The breakfast is typical La Quinta - yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, waffles. The front desk is friendly and helpful. There is access on the I-10 frontage road as well as a road behind the hotel which allows access from Highway 6.

Stayed 1 night at LQ Park 10. Location near Kaboom V-Ball Facility. Decent size room, beds not very comfortable, ac thermostat did not work properly, decent Continental breakfast w/waffles, and staff was friendly.
