I stayed February and March 2010 in this otherwise perfect location hotel. The rates are the best in town and I really like the staff. Unfortunately, in my third floor room, I caught bedbugs running across my legs at night and had blood spots from their bite marks all over my arms and legs. I captured the bugs in a bottle and had them positively identified as 'definitively bedbugs'. The hotel dry cleaned all my clothing, threw out the mattress and moved me to a fresh room on the first floor which I was happy with. Unfortunately in my new first floor room, after suffering three more weeks of incessantly, severely itching skin and red welts all over my body, thinking I had a case of the hives, I went to an ER clinic. There I was instead diagnosed by an MD as having scabies. Read all the details you want about bedbugs and scabies on-line. Trust me, you don't want these critters in your bed. This hotel is occupied mainly by visitors from third world countries. I don't want to mention countries because I don't want to come across as racist. But these bugs are almost certainly being brought in from these countries on people's luggage and clothing. Once they're in a hotel's linens, carpets and fabrics it's apparently extremely hard to get rid of them. I don't normally write hotel reviews but I don't want anyone else to be exposed to this extremely uncomfortable experience. Hopefully ExtendedStay will arrive at a solution to this major problem because otherwise they are a great hotel for the price category.
