We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a mini family vacation and were very disappointed. I booked through the Ramada website and it said payment would be due at the time of checkout. When I got there the lady said that it was their policy to charge all 3 days at the time of check-in. This cut me very close on funds since my payday was the following day and I was not expecting this. The breakfast was ok as long as you didn't want juice (machine broken) or you didn't get there in time to get batter for the waffle machine because once it was gone there was no chance of it getting refilled.
Room was ok. did not have washcloths when we arrived and was missing a lightbulb in one of the lamps.. housekeeping did take care of this but acted like they thought we had taken them or something.
Biggest problem however was that we were on a non-smoking floor and the people next door to our room were smoking which was causing a very strong odor in our room. We have a child with asthma so this was definitely a problem. We notified the front desk of the situation but since they only had one person at the desk and no security they could not do anything but call the other room and the call was unanswered. They offered to move us to another room but we didn't see why we should be inconvenienced when there was another person smoking on a non-smoking floor.
In closing as I said in the title, the hotel is 8 floors and in its day probably very nice.. now it could use some TLC and the neighborhood it is in is not the best.
