“Wonderful staff & great accommodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2010

Our daughter had her 13th B-day party here. We had a total of 12 girls and four adults. The staff, from the reservations desk to the breakfast attendant, was more than helpful. Reservations not only helped us reserve four rooms, one of which was a king suite, but also let us use the conference room for the evening at no additional charge. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was professional which made for a fun party. All the girls loved it.
Thank you Greenville Hampton staff. :)

“Too moldy for me”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2010

I knew something was wrong when I entered the lobby to check in. The smell of mold was very strong. Still I had guaranteed reservations so I went to the room. The mold smell was still hovering in the air even on the third floor. And to make it worse they had used some unpleasant chemical to mask the smell. I checked out after one hour, with no offer of a refund. They should be ashamed of continuing business as usual with that sort of problem.

“Great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2010

I didn't interact much with the staff except for check-in/check-out but they were friendly and efficient.

The room was spacious (I had a King Study). It had a great little kitchen area with microwave and mini-fridge. The room was clean and had everything I needed and expected. The location was conveniently close to dining (incl. Starbucks), and Wal-Mart and Walgreens are just across the street. Great complimentary hot breakfast.

Planning to stay here again next month. Great for business or leisure.

“Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2009

Our mini-suites were clean, well appointed and fresh. Internet connectivity was fast and reliable. The flat-screen LCD TV was sweet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was OK and the staff was friendly. Parking area was well lit and we felt secure and very comfortable.

“Horrible Hampton”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

As a Diamond HHonors members, I stay in my fair share of Hampton Inn's. The hotel located in Greenville failed to meet my expectations in any way after many stays. After making a reservation, for a king room, with what I thought was a really great rate, I arrive at the hotel to find the reservation had been changed by the staff at the hotel to a 2 double room. I said that I had reserved a King, and would like the room I reserved, to which the VERY lazy clerk (more on her later) told me that they were sold out, and this was the only room available. So, being tired, I took the room. First thing I did was connect to the WIFI (painfully slow), and tried to book a room at this hotel without using my status. TONS of rooms available for check in that night. So she lied.

The rooms are not clean, stained carpet, holes in walls. Housekeeping is great about changing out your towels, and that is about it. Even when requesting fresh linens, they just make the bed. I know this as the same stain was on the duvet. Hotel also has a bug problem.

Free WIFI works only half of the time, and even then is about the speed of dial up internet.

The breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn Breakfast.

Desk staff were all rude, lazy, and basically did the minimum required. The afternoon shift employee literally spent her entire shift in the lounge area watching television sitting on the sofa. The night shift lady goes to sleep at around 1 and wakes up at around 5. She also most mornings be found in the lounge area. Discussions with the manager do no good.

I have stayed here many times, and I would not recommend this hotel.. There are nicer options in the same area.
