My husband and I usually stay at The Gaylord for a convention every year, but this year we decided to stay at The Embassy. We were pleasantly surprised. In comparison, the Embassy rooms are much nicer. They are very large. We stayed in a corner suite. It had a large living area with a wet bar complete with a refrigerator and microwave, and a nice size bathroom, and a large king bedroom. The bed was comfortable and has several pillows. The couch in the living area pulls out into a bed, and all of the linens and pillows were in the closet for that. The Embassy serves an awesome complimentary breakfast. They have a buffet style breakfasts as well as an omelet bar where you can order whatever type of omellette you want. All in all I think The Embassy is a much better choice than The Gaylord Texan. The Gaylord rooms are very average hotel rooms, and you are paying for the atrium at the Gaylord. The embassy rooms are much nicer and larger and you get more for the price at The Embassy. This is a great hotel with great service, and and we will be staying at The Embassy during the conventions every year now.
