We came down to Galveston from the Dallas area for a couple of days between Christmas and New Years -- looking for a break from the Christmas chaos. The weather was beautiful - 60 degrees and sunny. The room was so small that you had to crawl over the bed to get around the desk chair/desk if someone was sitting there, working on the laptop. Even though it was an ocean view, due to the way the building is built, you actually overlook the air conditioning/roof of the front of the base of the hotel. We packed our bags and checked out. At check-out, I told them there was no hot water in the room and she didn't seem to care - or ask if there was anything she could do for us. The Holiday Inn Express down the street had a beautiful view, a suite size room and was $40 less per night.
Room Tip: We paid extra for an ocean view (top floor!), but it didn't matter because the way the building...
