We took a family trip to the Hampton Inn and Suites on August 11th thru the 13th. I had read the reviews before leaving about the hotel staff being so rude, but I figured maybe just maybe it would be a different outcome for us. We had a pretty good outcome upon arrival that night as we got there pretty late being we were coming out of town. So far so good. We got up for the complimentary breakfast and Unfortunately they ran out of eggs and although it was not yet 10 a.m. I over heard a guest asking would they be putting out more. The lady stated no as by the time they got done cooking it would be 10 already. That gentleman might I add you could tell was very upset! We came back from the waterpark and it looked as if the only thing that was cleaned by the room service was the bed spreaded up not really made the towels had been put on the shelf but not the best room service I'd seen in awhile. We asked about a later check out as we are Gold Members and stay in many different hotels for business throught the year, rudely we were told the best that they could do was give us a 1 p.m. check out ... as if we were bothering them are something! And on top of it all the whole entire morning it seemed we were being rushed out because of lack of communication with the room service. No one knew that we were supposed to be checking out late so therefore 1 came and then the other just came right on in and had to be told that we were not to check out just yet. At one time I was in the restroom when I heard my door come open and someone came on in. Guess the radio playing let them know that they needed to come back later.

Overall this was one of the worse Hampton's I've ever been too and I will tell everyone I know to not stay there because you don't feel welcomed at all.. I think they really need to look at who they have running things all these bad reviews need to really be taken seriously and the Hampton Inn & Suites needs to check their staffing before word gets out that their service is horrible and unprofessional!!!!

I wish I could list 0 stars instead of 1... Family of 5 traveling to Galveston for 1 last summer trip August 11-14, 2011. Let's start with service... The manager on staff who's name starts with a J and rhymes with sony was not only incapable of a smile, she just seemed as though life was miserable and her job was to make everyone else's miserable. The first room we got was on the 3rd floor and smelled like soiled linens throughout. Asked for a different room, got to that one and it was 82 degrees in the room, the same manager says give it 15 minutes and it will cool... 2 hours later it was only 78, transferred to a 3rd room... This time the only problem was the mini fridge and TV didn't work.

So after calling Hilton Honors I was told I couldn't transfer to the other Hilton property... Let me put this bluntly, there are NO redeeming qualities to this hotel other than the very kind maintenance man... Who is DEFINITELY overworked at this dump.

My toddler was walking in the room the desk called to say be quiet. When i went to explain that she was just walking you coyld hear walking at the desk. The lady said that had been going on for 30 mins I told her we just got back. I told them that for the last two nights we heard same thing at early hours in morning the attendant then said that we werent telling the truth because she just checked that guy in. Wow...went to san luis and had a great stay.

When I arrived to the Hotel the Assistant G.M was not friendly I asked about double beds and she said they don't have any only a king I asked the price she said $147.00 since that was the only hotel that had rooms we had no options, as I was leaving the person behind me asked about double beds and the G.M said it would be $99.00 I was so ticked off that I asked the G.M. why she sold her a double the lady said that i mis understood what the the lady asked, Once we got to the room it was okay except the fridge in the room was dirty it had a very bad smell and there was no wash towels I call and the Asst. G.M says she will take care of it we leave and upon our return we found two face towels and the fridge still dirty when we checked out I told the Asst. G. M and she gave $20.00 off, what twenty off and I could not use the fridge or get face towles both days we where there. Bad service never stay again
