I wish I could list 0 stars instead of 1... Family of 5 traveling to Galveston for 1 last summer trip August 11-14, 2011. Let's start with service... The manager on staff who's name starts with a J and rhymes with sony was not only incapable of a smile, she just seemed as though life was miserable and her job was to make everyone else's miserable. The first room we got was on the 3rd floor and smelled like soiled linens throughout. Asked for a different room, got to that one and it was 82 degrees in the room, the same manager says give it 15 minutes and it will cool... 2 hours later it was only 78, transferred to a 3rd room... This time the only problem was the mini fridge and TV didn't work.
So after calling Hilton Honors I was told I couldn't transfer to the other Hilton property... Let me put this bluntly, there are NO redeeming qualities to this hotel other than the very kind maintenance man... Who is DEFINITELY overworked at this dump.
