I stayed here because of the cheap internet rate, and the fact that their rooms had gotten a makeover. The room was fine for the price, other than a couple of hairs on the shower wall and a wet towel in the rack. The big turnoff however was the exterior of the property. It was absolutely slum-like, what with peeling paint, rotted wood, and sidewalks and stairs that appear way overdue a steam cleaning. The front desk personnel were all friendly and professional, although one encouraged me to go to the M6 website and give them a good review, because they'd gotten a lot of negative feedback lately. Really??

Biker Rally this weekend...room rates were raised due to this event. Bikers partyed with loud music until midnight. Roaches in the room.

We went this past weekend 9-17-10 - 9-19-10. The hotel clerk was knowledegable, and the service was friendly. The rooms were not great, there were roaches, as well as mosquitos. It was our first trip to the gulf so I am not sure if the mosquitos were a part of the area. Each night we had to kill seveal mosquitos. We did not get bothered by any neighbors so I am very thankful for that. The linens did not get changed, and the beds were very close toghether. Be prepared for uncarpeted floors, hard beds and a stand up shower.

This was our first experience in a motel and it was a little bit intimidating at first.

We checked in with Misty - who was more than helpful and very friendly! We then went upstairs to our room which was very modernly furnished which was a pleasant surprise.

Our only issues were te thinness of the walls, and the slight space in the door which was also very thin and did seem a little daunting. Our neighbours who we can only assume were permanent residents were a little too friendly for our liking and spent the late evening mending a broken table and delighted in hammering it back together. The motel had all the expected ammenities and overall was fine as a place to lay your head at night.

The room was relatively clean, and bathroom was fine. The smell outside in the yard and up the stairs was slightly dodgy but overall it was a fine stay. it could have been a whole lot worse!

Would recommend if looking for a budget hotel and don't mind over friendly neighbours!!!
