When we first pulled up to the motel, it didn't really fancy me much.
Check-in took a little longer than expected, even though we did have reservations.
Once we went into the room I was really surprised. Very clean, the bathrooms we're pretty big, plenty of towels, the a/c was awesome and super cold. The room itself was pretty small, but it was still good. I liked everything overall, except when i woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, there was a huge roach crawling on the floor, scared the bajezus out of me. I squealed a little and my boyfriend ended up killing it. I have no idea how it got there since when we first checked in there were no signs of bugs or roaches. But other than that, it was pretty nice and very good for the price.

Stayed one night before cruise, only paid $50.00 so price was right. The room was really clean and redone, beds were comfortable and plenty of towels overall looked great. Room was small but expected at motel 6, bathroom was pretty large. The floor was some hard floor look to it, no carpet, I did like that. The only issue I had was when I got up at night to use the bathroom, I turned on the light and two roaches started to run, they ran up under the trim, freaked me out, I made sure all our bags were up off the floor and then didn't want to turn the light off in the bathroom for fear the would come back out!! My family traveling with me gave me a hard time because I hate bugs, but I really think they were coach roaches because the were a copper shiny color, not a black or beattle look. Anywho that is enough for me not to stay here again. If it wasn't for the two bugs I would have said this place was GREAT!!! Hope this is helpful.

We slept there on 01/08/11. Motel remodelled. Very clean. Beds comfortable, floor is new. For the price, that's the place to stay few nights.

I always enjoy my stay in Galveston at the Motel 6! It is efficient, clean and inexpensive. The folks who work there are polite and dedicated to making my stay enjoyable and easy! I stay so often that they know me by name and know what I need in a room. Even my little dog, LuLu, likes staying in their pet-friendly motel!
