“Best Customer Service in Town!”

My parents and I stayed at this hotel for a night prior to our cruise. Sam (the owner) made us feel at home and could not have been more helpful. The hotel rooms are fairly basic, but are sufficient for a good nights sleep. The hotel is very close to the ferry landing (free rides if you want to do some cheap sightseeing). If you are cruise bound, the hotel allows you to leave your car there for the duration of the cruise and the taxi fare to the terminal was around $12. I gladly recommend the hospitality of Sam and his lovely wife to anyone who is looking for a no-frills hotel with a great vibe.

“Launch your Cruise Vacation”

This was our place of respite after a long day's drive prior to our week's cruise. We were greeted by the most congenial hotelier I ever met, Sam. He assures you of every cooperation to make your stay pleasant and he knows the cruise terminal and the island well. He'll warn you about the "battle axe," but she's just as nice as he is. You can park your car there free while you cruise, either under cover or right beside the office, both are monitored by security cameras.
Our ship was delayed for 5 hours by fog as it arrived, so we were late boarding, but Sam encouraged all of us (about 2 dozen passengers stayed there the night before we cruised) to remain in our rooms at no extra charge until the ship was ready to receive us.
It's important to recognize that this is an older building that has been rehabbed, not a fresh new one, but my wife was glad to see a bathtub instead of just a shower. The breakfast provided is coffee, toast and fruit. It's healthy and will get you going into your day.

Room Tip: The rooms start on the second floor with parking underneath. The downside is that there is no elevat...

Sam and his wife, the very personable owner-operators will go the extra mile to meet your needs.Very large rooms, comfy beds, amenities in a very quiet location. Being able to leave the car while on Cruise makes the very reasonable price right. Excellent value.

“Great Stay!”

We stayed for one night prior to a cruise and were allowed to park our car here for the duration of the cruise at no cost. Although this is not a modern hotel, it is clean and run by very friendly, attentive and helpful folks. Our boarding was delayed most of the day by fog and we were allowed to stay on the property for as long as it took to wait for boarding clearance and they arranged a taxi to take us to the ship...only 10 minutes from the hotel and a $11 cab fare. You won't be disappointed by this hotel and it represented a very good value. Plus, you will be hard pressed to find more friendly and helpful people behind the counter no matter what level of hotel you are staying in.

“Excellent for pre cruise overnight”

I reserved two rooms at this hotel five months before my cruise. I was immediately impressed with the outward willingness to please. This was the perfect hotel to stay in before our family cruise. The rooms are good sized, we had two rooms with two queen beds, and the rooms were very clean. The owner and his wife are very friendly and accommodating. What I really like is that the hotel is not on the busy strand but, close enough that you can get there within a couple of minutes. Another very important feature that I liked was the free covered parking offered for the length of our cruise. This is a plus to me because other friends have left their vehicles at hotels on the beach only to return and have a vehicle covered with salt water film. There is no resturant at the hotel, but there is free coffee in the lobby in the morning. There are plenty of resturants in old town and on the strand to choose from so that was not a concern. The owner is working hard to modernize the property. The cost of the rooms was very reasonable, less than 50.00 per night. It is definately a family run operation with a family atmosphere. Look forward to seeing Sam and his family again.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and clean.
