This was our place of respite after a long day's drive prior to our week's cruise. We were greeted by the most congenial hotelier I ever met, Sam. He assures you of every cooperation to make your stay pleasant and he knows the cruise terminal and the island well. He'll warn you about the "battle axe," but she's just as nice as he is. You can park your car there free while you cruise, either under cover or right beside the office, both are monitored by security cameras.
Our ship was delayed for 5 hours by fog as it arrived, so we were late boarding, but Sam encouraged all of us (about 2 dozen passengers stayed there the night before we cruised) to remain in our rooms at no extra charge until the ship was ready to receive us.
It's important to recognize that this is an older building that has been rehabbed, not a fresh new one, but my wife was glad to see a bathtub instead of just a shower. The breakfast provided is coffee, toast and fruit. It's healthy and will get you going into your day.
