“Great One Night Stay with our Puppies ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We had a dilemma this XMas for me to stay with the "kids" our lab mix "Goldie" and "Mutt" our cocker or find a place that accepts doggies. I found a greta website "bringfido.com" and this hotel was rated 5 biscuits. Off we go.

Upon arrival we gragged our bags kids on flexi leashes and off we went to check in. As soon as we were in the door the kids were greeted with water bowls and a dog biscuit. We felt at home. Checkin was a breeze and off to the room. The room had a great platform bed like we have at home and the kids were at ease. We brought our own bowls food etc had used the complimentary water for their water dish. The room had a mini fridge so the wet dog food went in along with some yogurt and soft drinks. We then left for grandmas house dogs in tow. In the lobby we saw 3 other couples with dogs and all I could say is finally a place that realizes they are family too.

Back to the room. We had wi/fi and a desk should you need to do any work. I brought my tablet and never turned it on .... it was Christmas Eve. Nice sink and shower area and wonderful flat screen LCD TV. We slept great and never heard another peep out of the kids or any other puppy.

Next morning woke up and took the kids outside to poop and tinkle and yes I did pick it up poop bags in tow. They have a nice area across the entrance way with nice grass to entice my perfect dogs. Returned for free coffee and packed and left. They had a great fitness area however I was threatened by my better half to be with her on XMas eve. not the gym.

I would definitely stay their the next time we visit Frisco. Everyone was so polite and the place was so clean. When we left we saw at least 5 other couples in the lobby with puppies.

Oh --- NO pet deposit .... Stein Mart and other shops within walking distance made a last minute Xmas gift possible.

This is a non smoking hotel ... So it was great for us and our "kids".

“Decent but wouldn't return”

I'm normally a fan of the W brand hotels and the Aloft Frisco feel short of normal W Hotel experience and expectations. I'm a fan of the Mid-Century Modern motif/design but the execution feel short with Aloft. The rooms were small but the use of the space made them feel even more cramp. The bathroom was, by far, the most disappointing aspect of the room. It was very tight, the tiles were slate and made the room feel dirty and very cold. I felt like I needed to wear shoes to take shower. In general, the overall feel of the hotel was unappealing. For the price, it was OK but I would be willing to pay more for a different hotel.

Room Tip: We received a room on the 4th floor directly overlooking the pool which was nice.

“Shopping trip retreat”

My daughter and I stayed at the Aloft Frisco on Saturday night. We were traveling with her three month old baby. We shopped in the area and then came to the hotel to relax, feed the baby, and then we shopped some more. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the price was great for a nice escape. I was disappointed that I had to go to a nearby 7-11 to buy the Sunday Dallas paper. The hotel only carries USA Today. Other than that, the stay was great. Nice friendly staff too.

Room Tip: Because we were traveling with a baby, they gave us a room on the end of the hall. We brought our ow...

“Becoming my new favorite brand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

The aLoft style cannot be ignored. Much is tongue in cheek modernity, but it blends seamlessly into a comfortable change of pace from the faux colonial styles or laminate furnishings at business class hotels. Clean, everything you want - quick breakfast, nice bar setting, free wireless, wireless, wireless.

At this Frisco edition, I could recommend the reception staff assume a bit more of the aLoha hospitality that I receive at other aLofts. Come on you're not working at a personality-free hotel, get on board.

“Pleasant stay, good location, decent price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

The hotel works at being very modern & hip. It is bright and clean. The room rate was very reasonable, but that comes with few amenities. There is a 'grab and go' area with snacks available at all times and breakfast items, but it's not complementary. The room was very comfortable but I can imagine it might be a little bit tight quarters for a couple (I was traveling alone). I did not see anyone with children when I was there. They did have a bar that offered some food in the evening. The location was very central to all the shopping and there was easy access. The staff was friendly.
