“Never again!”

Filthy! I never took my shoes off; the carpet was heavily stained and disgusting. The best part of the hotel was the lobby which is nice & clean. You have to go to breakfast early because they run out. After staying 2 nights, I asked the manager for a late checkout and was told I had to be out by 11:30. I explained that I had come in from Houston to visit my grandmother in the hospital. He wouldn't budge, but said that my room had been rented out that night. The parking lot was COMPLETELY empty when I left! No compassion!! Never again.

“Great rate, short drive to town, and smoking rooms available”

It's getting more and more difficult to find a decent hotel that has smoking rooms available but the Quality Inn accommodated us nicely. The room was very clean and comfortable, the employees were all very helpful, and the free breakfast was convenient and relatively well-stocked.

“Stay away”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2010

This was such a disappointing stay here in beautiful Fredericksburg. The room was very small for the price that we paid. The room felt dirty and I am not sure what the brown stain on the wall next to my bed is! Yuck! The shower has mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtain. The bathroom is so small that you can't begin to get dressed or undressed in there. You only have about seven inches between the toilet and the shower and the toilet is already up against the wall. The room entry door does not close well at all and you have to slam it in order to get it to latch. This happens for several of the surrounding rooms and is very annoying especially early in the morning when other people are leaving for the day. The high-speed internet is only available in the front lobby, and actually we got better internet service from the Econolodge, Sunset inn and the local hospital that are right next door. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Fredericksburg Ride”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2009

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights with 2 friends on our bikes, clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was OK for cold cereal, but they had a Denny's just down the road (1/8 mile).

“Low quality room and uncomfortable beds”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2009

We stayed one night on Memorial Day weekend. Of the three hotels we stayed in (2 in Austin, and this one in Fredericksburg), all at the same price point, this was the lowest quality (which is ironic). The two double beds are thin spring mattresses that bounce around so much we had to sleep in separate beds. The room has the basic amenities you need - microwave, mini fridge, and ironing board. Wouldn't recommend for more than a one-night stay. The bright point was the manager - he phoned us to verify we were still coming when we didn't check in by 10 pm, rather than giving away our room.
