The innkeeper Suzanne was very personable, polite, and informative. We met the property owner, and he was also very welcoming. Beautiful historic property...we were in the "Garden View" room which was an extension at the back of the property. This worked out very well as it was secluded and quiet. A very clean, well stocked room with all of the necessary comforts. More modern than the rest of the property, but this worked out to our benefit. Due to the extreme drought in the Texas Hill Country, there wasn't much garden to view, but the property is very well maintained and homey. Breakfasts were very good, and we purchased the Amaretto-peach-pecan jam which I highly recommend on just about everything. There is lots to do in Fredericksburg, and Suzzane was very good at suggesting dining, excursion, shopping and entertainment destinations. She also welcomed our feedback experiences to share with other and future guests. I would not recommend this vacation if you are looking for fast-paced, rather more suited to relaxing and enjoying the comforts....there is lots to do, so you could find yourself in a hurry to take it all in, but that's what multiple days stays and/or return trips are for, right?
