We rented the Rocking Ox GasteHaus in Fredericksburg, Texas for two nights. The decor is unique and you have your own full mount of a South African antelope in the living room. It is an old barn redone into a guest house complete with king and queen bedrooms and one full size bed by the living room. It is a unique, charming place with a very nice landlady that leaves pastries on the front porch in the morning. A big clawfoot tub and new tiled shower are great. There is no stove but a microwave and small frig. The guesthouse is about 2.5 miles west of down town - a little hard to find the first time but on the main road. We used a booking service to find it. Our friends were from Germany, and this was the favorite place they stayed. For the right person, you'll love it!
