It really is a great experience. It's like being whisked away to a different era. The decor, the art work, architecture, all those details make it work. I especially love the brown "bomber jacket" leather chairs. Don't miss the rocking chairs overlooking the runway! One reviewer mentioned that you're not allowed to bring your own drinks out there: if you go late enough, no one notices... The whole ambiance of the place is done impeccably well. But then... you go to look for the coffee maker, and there's not one... And you turn on the TV, and there are a dozen HORRIBLE channels. Seriously, what is UP with that?!? No microwave. No fridge. Low-grade soaps. Excellent shower heads.... but no curved shower curtain rods? Really? I was so claustrophobic, I nearly had a panic attack...
The beds are AMAZING. I slept incredibly well... But why don't they have comforters? I like more snuggly bedding... I've stayed here a few times now, and I'm always freezing...
So yeah, it's great to do once. Especially if you're staying with someone on business and you don't care who foots the bill. But really, if it was my dime, I'd rather stay at a Motel 6 and save my money for actually experiencing the town.
