A very relaxing and enjoyable get away. Done with class.

On the outskirts of Fredericksburg but only a few minutes drive, the Hangar Hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in town. My wife and I have been there multiple times, the atmosphere is great and the amenities are top-notch. They offer a military discount, and I believe it's adults-only so definitely ask if you are intending on having kids around, I think they just like to maintain the feel of the place as somewhere where grown-ups can relax a bit. There is a bar/lounge ("Officers Club") that has a great laid-back vibe with pool table and usually a piano player, which really makes it enjoyable for sitting back with friends and having a drink or two. Rooms were spotless and service was great, only two floors and includes an elevator if you have issues with stairs.

We stayed at the Hangar Hotel on a Sunday and Monday night. I was impressed from the minute we booked until we checked out. The room was nice, clean and we had a good view of half the runway. It was nice setting out on the observation deck, (towards sun-set due to it was hot) watching planes land and take-off. They have a lounge, but it is closed on Sunday and Monday, as is their cafe. Also,the cafe closes everyday at 2:00pm, so you have to go in town for dinner or have pizza delivered. We opted with pizza so we could enjoy setting on the deck. If you are a big television watcher be prepared, as it is very, very small and there are only 13 channels! Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and we would go back...

The Hangar Hotel is a very charming hotel that is located at the Fredericksburg airport. Wasn't sure what to expect, but we stayed there before putting it on our list of hotels for our upcoming wedding in Fredericksburg and we were pleasantly surprised. From the moment I called to book the room, while having drinks in the hotel bar, all the way through checkout, we were always taken care of and you could really tell customer service was their top priority.

The rooms were clean, well kept up and very large. The only complaint might have been the size of the TV, but then again, is it really that important? It was really neat to sit on the verandah and watch the airplanes comes and go. If you're staying in Fredericksburg and don't mind staying off the main strip, don't hesitate to stay here.
