We rented the entire facility for family and friends and what a wonderful B&B and accomodations; every room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I loved the use of the kitchen facilities which isn't usual for most B&Bs but didn't have to use it to enjoy a catered breakfast daily. The convenience of the location was great but the large undeveloped private lot made you feel as if you weren't just off main street. Fred and Gloria are wonderful and were very accomodating to our needs. We are looking forward to staying again and making it a home away from home. Highly recommend Das Keidel for anyone coming to Fredericksburg.

My husband and I stayed at the Das Keidel Inn in Fredericksburg, Texas. I booked it online and was quoted $110 for our stay of one night. When I received the bill it was for $135. We discussed this with Fred Soto and he said that he would refund half the difference of $12.50. He has not to this day. Also, when we got in the shower, it did not work. We waited for about an hour for Fred to show up with the part.

We have now stayed with Fred and Gloria twice in one year and they are the best hosts! They totally made us feel like we were home and not just staying at a bed and breakfast. The location is perfect! They are on one side of downtown, right across the street from the Pacific War Museum (which is awesome, by the way). We had six adults, two young children, and a baby with us. We rented out the main house and it was perfect for our needs. Fredericksburg is such a great place, made only better by the people like Gloria and Fred. I wouldn't stay anywhere else, especially with children.

Fred and Gloria were most gracious and we enjoyed our visit very much. The Rhine Suite is smaller than the rooms upstairs, but it was just the right size for me and my husband and we appreciated having the private bath. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was most comfortable and all the bed linens were coordinated.
It was great having the Verandah right off our room where we could sit and have a glass of wine.. However, It would have been nice if the patio furniture had been cleaner.

We will definitely return to this B&B and recommend it our friends.
