My husband and I traveled to Fredericksburg hoping for a nice relaxing weekend. The employees of Gasthaus Schmidt were some of the rudest I have ever encountered. I had requested service help due to the fact the hot water was not working the night we had reserved. The attendant stated there was nothing she could do and then refused to return any pages. This was verified by the L&T answering service who repeated the female's statements that she was not returning calls or pages as she was not going to do anything. The owner of the property appeared after 10 pm and stated he had replaced the water heater and that was the cause of the problem but didn't want to inconvenience the guest where the heater was located. He then promised to credit us with a one night stay. When we turned in the key, the employee at Gasthaus was rude and stated that water problem was fixed and the owner (who we have no contact info for) had refused to keep his word and credit our stay. Needless to say, I will not use eithers services again.
