I decided it was time to get away last weekend and while planning, ran across Country Inn & Cottages. The reviews looked great so I decided to stay there myself. Glad I did too. We stayed in the #15 cottage which is described as a dogtrot cabin. Basically not a stand alone. The room was everything I imagined and more. From the rustic hunting lodge look to the cozy fireplace, whirlpool bathtub and comfortable bed, it was a little bit of paradise. The Elk had babies not long ago so it was fascinating watching them roam the pin. The property was huge and very quiet. Unlike many other hill country cottages, the cabins were spread out to allow for privacy, peace and quiet.
They do have two hot tubs but they were both located right beside someone elses cabin. If there was a drawback, this would be it. I felt as if I would be invading their space had I hopped in. The thought of peepers didnt set too well either so we stayed out. If they could be moved to a more centralized location, away from a cabin, that would be perfect. Perhaps even a privacy fency around the tubs would work well.
Except for that this was definately the place to be and I cant wait to return with the rest of my family. Kuddos for your country gem. It was thoroughly enjoyed.
