My husband and I stayed at the Main Street Retreat in the Vicar/Rectory house and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The owner Joe was beyond accomodating and was very knowledgeable when it came to the area. During our first night at the property we had noticed that we weren't getting any hot water. We called Joe after 11 pm thinking we would get his voicemail; but, he anwered almost immediately and came over that night to fix the problem. The rooms were cozy and bathrooms were VERY clean and updated. We will never stay anywhere else!

This was our first time in a Bed and Breakfast and we had a great experience! The cottage we stayed in (The Humble Plumb) was the perfect size for two. Large and VERY comfortable king bed, gas fireplace, cozy couch, and a much appreciated jacuzzi tub with bath salts on hand! The owner greeted us upon arrival and asked if we had any questions about what to do in town or if we needed recommendations on restaurants. The place was stocked with cinnamon strudel, OJ, milk, fruit, cereal, coffee, creamer, hot chocolate, and even had some diet coke and cokes in the fridge. The only negative that I would have is that it is a bit of a walk (5-6 blocks) to the happening part of Fredericksburg's Main Street. It was a bit chilly on our stay so this would not be a problem at all in the nicer spring and fall weather!! Overall we had a wonderful time here - definitely recommended!

I and my family (my sister, my niece and her husband) had a wonderful time at this B&B. The owner is very friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate us. I enjoy Fredericksburg and when I visit I will be staying at the Main Street Retreat!

We had wonderful little cottage with a fireplace, jacuzzi bathtub and a relaxing ambience. The owner is gracious and a great host. He also owns All Seasons Uptown retreat. We will be back!
