“week day breakfast versus weekend breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Beware the week day breakfasts suck compared to the weekend breakfasts. when Monday rolls around the food really reminds you of a much cheaper hotel, considering the room rates, it is really quite petty of them. Other than that it was awesom service and shuttle was great. If we had known would have had no reason to rent a car. Western atmosphere was awsome.

Room Tip: They have a John Wayne suite would like to try next time.

“Cool location in the heart of the Stockyards!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I've seen some of the other reviews, where they referred to a not so friendly staff, I can't say that I had a bad experience at all. The rooms are nice and large and for the price can't be beat. Right across from the rodeo and in the heart of the stockyards.

“Good hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the Stockyards area. The hotel has bags of character. The room was a good size and very clean. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. There are lots of good restaurants in the area. The Stockyards are a really interesting place to visit.

“First time visitors”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Travelled from Australia for work and wanted to experience the historic Stockyards as part of our visit. The main attraction for choosing this hotel was its location relative to the stockyards, Billy Bob's Honky Tonk and a variety of eateries. I would probably not stay at this hotel if it wasn't for the stockyard experience. Suitable for first time visitors.

The rooms are quite well maintained and spacious. All the amenities were easily accessible including Wi-Fi, an iron, cable TV etc. Overall a pleasant stay for a first time visitor.

“Excellent Location but overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We enjoyed our one night at the Hyatt Place. Couldn't have chosen a better place for its location in the middle of the Stockyards area, however because the bull riding competition was going on that night the price of the room was ridiculous. Well, there are always tradeoffs! We could hear the train at night so I"d opt for a room on a higher floor if that bothers you. Complimentary breakfast was very good and included at least one hot item. There was also the possibility of ordering a la carte bigger breakfast items for a fee. Liked the convenience of the bar/coffee bar in the lobby.
