I am traveling more lately and I do not understand the downward trend in cleanliness and room condition standards. I know there are vacuums that have hoses to reach under places. Apparently many choose not to use them or don't care. It didn't show up in the picture so I didn't include, but all around the room where there was an interference that couldn't be accessed easily it was filthy. Pieces of food, dust and whatever was just accumulating. Also the cleaning staff/management must not look at the walls as worthy of being cleaned. Numerous scuff marks from luggage that would easily clean off are ignored. The good was that everything else looked to be very well cleaned. Sink, toilets, countertops, shower, main traffic areas. Maybe the motto is if the customers don't walk on it or eat on it, touch it, don't clean it.
The other negative was room condition. See pictures as an
example. Burnt carpet, broken and chipped or cracked walls were all around. The cabinet has been broken out and could easily be repaired or covered with trim to make it look. Again nothing deplorable but cumulative it is detracting.
The staff I spoke with was very nice and accommodating. They did just finish or are finishing the lobby/breakfast area remodel so it
is very sparse. The wifi wasn't working the first night but no problem for the next 3. I didn't try the breakfast but it looked to be standard "continental" fare. Location was right off the freeway and a short drive to downtown Fort Worth. There is construction at the interchange so there are seemingly long waits for the stoplights to cycle. I took alternate routes after the first time. There are numerous places to eat close by and a lot more a few minutes drive to the north as well as a couple grocery stores if needed.
Overall I would stay here again only in a pinch. I will look elsewhere first until I read the cleanliness is improved.
