We booked, paid $125 for, and got a printed reservation for a "2 Queen/smoking free" room through Priceline. When we arrived at 9:30PM, we were given a smoking room. They didn't have any non-smoking rooms with 2 beds. They said they only honor non-smoking reservations through their own website and that since they usually run out of non-smoking rooms, our situation was common.
Our reservation was for a "2 Queen/smoking free" room. Hampton Inn choses to sell through Priceline and certainly choses to take their customers money for something they apparently have no intention of providing. I find it impossible to believe they do not know how their rooms are listed on Priceline.
The manager did find us a room with one bed, an additional roll-in cot for my 6 ft. husband, and a dirty toilet. After a bad night we checked out - never to stay at a Hampton Inn again. We were pretty shocked at their fraudulent business practices.
We travel frequently and I've never written a bad review before, but, since this appears to be a pattern of business, I feel obligated to inform your customers of Hampton Inn's business practices.
