I have stayed at this Courtyard from time to time over the past 7 years. It is begining to show age. Having stayed at Courtyard's new format it is very noticable. Ceck in was good. The clerk was very friendly, offfering water, recognizing my Marriott Platnuim status and told me about free breakfast with my rate. That was the good! The bad & ugly was the stale smoke odor in room 348. This must have been one of the old smoking rooms before they went completely non-smoking. The furniture, desk and chair were worn, and the tv remote did not work. I called downstairs and the clerk had another remote, the good, the bad was that remote did not work either, the good, the pregnant clerk offered to move me to another room and bring up another key, now I could not let her do that so made my third trip downstairs to get a key. She apologized again and gave me another room. This room, 361, was better. It did not smell, furniture worn not as worn, but bettter. I was glad the tv did not work at this point.
This is Fossil Creek, one of the better areas, I thought; in Forth Worth. This Courtyard needs to get up to date. a disappointing stay, again; no fault of the desk clerk. The owners need a reality check. This is just average and not indicative of Marriott but for an average price, $69.00 tops it will do. My company paid over $90.00.
